Course Curriculum Overview

The branch is very good.The exams are not hectic.The labs are going on well.Classes are conducted well however some classes are cancelled unnecessarily.The timetable planned was very good with no pressure on the student.

Placement Experience

The placements were good last year.Futuresfirst was a company which offered highest package for our course students.Yes,,the college offers internship and many students have taken them.The overall placement scenario was good last year

College Events

URJA,CULFEST,OJASS,TECHNICA,COGNITIO, ,PRODUS These are the various fests conducted in our college and are done very grandly.These are a source of entertainment for us and are done with teamwork.success

Fee Structure And Facilities

VERY EXPENSIVE for general students.reserved students are paying very less fees when compared to other students.It is becoming difficult for general students to pay fees which are in lakhs per year.bad

Hostel Facilities

6 out of 10.The infrastructure is ok but not good.sharing of rooms is done presently. Neatness is not all good.food is good but sometimes not nice.Infrastructure is very nice but neatness is not up to the mark

Admission

The admission process was based on jee mains.l have qualified and went for counselling and got the course on the basis of my rank and choices provided by me.

Faculty

The faculty are highly professional and some are interested to take classes.They clear our doubts and we are provided time to meet them during specific hours.They teach well and are highly educated.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
