Remarks

There are bad things also. The administration is run by the monks and now a days these administrative body has started being corrupted.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our college did not have the best teachers of our country, but it provided us the best environment to study. There were two libraries with sufficient books. Anyone can study there and take book to hostel rooms. And it's a residential college, so we had to stay in hostel. So we made a study circle, which helped us a lot. Our teachers encouraged us a lot to persue research.

Placement Experience

0.5

Actually our college authority always encouraged us to persue higher studies. That's why there is no placement cell in our college. Recently they have started providing internships.

College Events

5

There were many events celebrated in Narendrapur. Apart from the cultural events there were many events organised by the respective departments of our college. Invitations were sent to many colleges in Kolkata. These events were totally organised by the students. Students from different colleges used to come and participate. And there were lot of seminars thouroughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very much feasible. At the time of admission we had to deposit ? 23000. For the next 2 years we had to deposit ?12500 annually. Which may vary according to course. Apart from this we had to submit ?2700 monthly which included our fooding and lodging at the hostel and our tution fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I received the scholarship named Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means scholarship provided by WB State government. Many of the students are INSPIRE fellow. And there was also institute scholarship for economically weaker students.

Campus Life

4

It's a boys' college. We had to stay at the hstel. It was a huge campus which included two big play grounds, swimming pool, gym etc. In the morning we had to wake up at 5:30 o'clock and attend the morning prayer. We were served lunch at 9:30 am. There were classes from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Then we were served tiffin. They we used to go to the playground, swimming pool wherever you want. Then we had to attend the evening prayer. We were served dinner at 8:30 pm.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

It's a residential college. You have to stay in the hostel. There were 4 hostels for college students, some of them were two storeyed and some were thouree storeyed. Around 750 students used to stay in the hostels. There were 4 students in a room.

Alumni/Alumna

The best thing about Narendrapur is the bonding between seniors and juniors. If we had any doubt about anything we used to approach the seniors and they also used to try their best. There is also an alumni association. Every year around 25th December they organize an reunion.

Admission

After the declaration of the hs result I applied here for physics and math courses. This is an online process. I was studying in Ramakrishna Mission since class 1. So I had a great understanding of the environment of Ramakrishna Mission. And Ramakrishna Mission provides the best environment for study. That's why I choose RKMRC. After filling up the form there was an admission test, which I passed easily. Then there was a councelling and admission process.

Faculty

3.5

We had around 22-23 students in our batch. And the no. of lecturers was also very less compared to other colleges. We had 7 full time lecturers and the others were mainly guest lecturers. The M. Sc. course is mainly taught by the guest lecturers. Some of our teachers are PhD holders, some are post-graduate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Though the bachelor of science is pursued by someone who wants to research and develop some idea to help the modern world. The primary decision was to contribute to the society like the great scientists who have done so before. The curriculum provides a balanced approach of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, theoretical knowledge from classes, assignments, homeworks and exams. Practical knowledge through the different workshops that are held in the college auditorium or online with successful men of the field who are brought as guests in them, from renowned scientists to great thinkers we have met a lot of them.
