A journey worth sharing

No negetive things abt my college. U have got hard disciplines which according to me is just a training to do good onboard. Givr Respectt and gain respect is a key to be in this college. Seniors teach us good moral values and sometimes they beat us up for our mistakes but everything has to be taken in a sporting way. If u don t learn from your senior s what vl u teach to ur juniors as simple as that.

Its a very prestigious college since 1947. All the seniors and juniors maintain a good and strong bond. A disciplined institute as its a paramilitary institute. Studies are quite standard and faculties are quite friendly. You don t have to study for and entire 6 months 1 month is enough to clear off ur sems. Apart from studies we r tought tough disciplines , sports play an inp role here adding swimming and gymnasium.

If a cadet is all clear he gets placed immediately in his 6 th sems onwards.Not much companies come like before but dmet has got its standard like always. If you are all clear without having any arrears campus gives you 100 % placement gurantee.

We have freshers known as Tempest during nov or dec its a party for the freshers mainly , apart from this we celebrate ganesh chaturthi , holi and diwali on our campus every year. During durga pujas we have our 3 day holiday.

A bit expensive. Every year costs 2.25 lakhs so overall it sums upto around 9 lakh rupees excluding examination fees and other fees. Then we have to put caution money of 20 thousand rupees seperately its refunded at the end of passing out.

Our college pays 75 thousand rupees to top 30 cadets every semester and 50 thousand rupees to the next 30 cadets who have scored well in semester exams. Its really a good move by the college to help the financial and supporting the economic condition of the cadets.

Almost all kind of sports are available. Includes football , hockey , basketball , crickets , badminton, table tennis and so on. Every year best cadets are selected by the seniors and they form up a team and they go for Inter college competitions.

Hostel is inside the college campus itself. We have got 4 hostels First year to Fourth year. First years are kept safe as they are new and not so acquainted to the surroundings and it has got a warden room for any emergency situations.

Very helpful. All the seniors who have passed out from dmet holds high esteem positions. Some runs their own company while some have become millionaire. We have a discreet website where all juniors and seniors talk and sort out problems in a cooperative way.

Most of the faculty are well trained and have keen knowledge in their respective fields. Professors are mainly Chief engineers who have sailed with an exp of arounnd 10 to 15 yrs minimum. So they tell us about the current market conditions and makes us familiar to it. Professors are friendly and easy to interact. Attendance is 85 % to sit for the semester exams so goin to class is a must.
