Remarks

Our university lacks in infrastructure. Many classroom have broken windows, benches but you can't complain for it if you paying only 250 rupees for your college academics. Though our low infrastructure lakr have witness better evenings than a pool.

Course Curriculum Overview

This university has very a very good record in research over last few years. Every year many research paper are being published in many journals and lab happens 2-3 times every week. Attending lab in college is quite important for a student

Placement Experience

The placements here quite good and are in parallel with some good nits and low iits. Avg package for engg stream ranges from 7 to 8 lpa. Highest package offered this year is 59 lpa by the uber india. Internship happens but it is bagged by some very good students

College Events

We have a technical fest organised by the students of engineering union called SRIJAN. Also a cultural fest known as SANSKRITI is being organised. Mostly events in Srijan is computer oriented and Cs stream guys take more interest in that.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very very affordable, I can proudly say that my university have the least fees with what it is providing like labs, placement and research. It cost a student only 2500 per year. And hostel fees is only 25 rs per month

Fees and Financial Aid

Our university doesn't make profit by students. The student here doesn't need any loan to full the fess as it is Rs.250 for one month for academic and rs 25 for hostel accommodation. Though some very good scholarship is given by FFEs and other NGOS.

Campus Life

Our university has a club for every field like sports club, drama club, photography club, science club, hiking club, art club. Students interested in their respective fields often go to the club to learm new things and enhance thier ability.

Hostel Facilities

There are four persons residing in the one room of the hostel. Though, there is some ragging in the hostel and infrastructure is low but you pay only 25 rs for month for hostel accommodation and 3000 total for meals if two time but overall a student make lot of memories in the hostel, and all people there like a family

Alumni/Alumna

Our university has a great alumni network known as JU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. There they keep records of every student who had studied there and in college fest, they are being asked for financial help. They sometime arrange interactive sessions with the present ALUMNI for the ongoing students

Admission

This university has an impeccable records in terms of placement and ranking in past few years. The average package lies between 7-8 lpa in engineering and ladt year it was ranked as 13th best college by NIRF

Faculty

Every faculty have there phd done in the university and they hold quite a heavy degree in their respective field. Some teachers are boring but most of them are good. Many have left their job in a multinational firm and are teaching here.

Should I Choose IEM.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
