Remarks
Infrastructure wise the college has the best campus which is rare. The labs are well equiped and all the facilities are provided. Wifi, library, gym, games, labs etc The campus is situated in outskirts of siliguri in peaceful area covered with green vegetation and fresh air with the miracle view of the hills and mountains Hostel facility is good but its located outside campus which spoils the real engineering life
Course Curriculum Overview
There are intotal 8 examinations in 4 years course and a student must clear all the subjects The course is outdated. Our college is under makaut which is still following old syllabus. Lab are well equiped in the college and regularly we have labs.
College Events
We have tectfest once a year. Clubs helps in increasing connection. i am a member of devloper student clubs and it has helped me a lot in my communication skills The infrastructure and surrounding of the college is just heaven. Such kind of campus are very rare to see. The college is situated between the lush green vegetation of Darjeeling with a sweet essense of tea leafs all around The campus area is large so no problem of crowd No scholarship are provided Once a year we have sitex for large extra curricular activities
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are quite high. It will go to nearly 6 lakhs in 4 years. This is to be paid in 8 semesters. It must be paid before every semester. Moreover some extra charges are leived on library books. Though techical training are also given.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship are provided. Loans are easily available though the interest rates are high. If one performs well during his graduate he can get some scholarship in techno india university which is a university owned by same trust of the college.
Campus Life
The college provides ample opportunities for students to grow up and have a successful carreer. there are various clubs and frequent seminars workshops organized. We have sitex and tectfest once a year. In sitex almost every extra curricular activities takes place and its a great fun time in the month of feburary
Hostel Facilities
I didn't opt for hostel. My friends did. I stay in a paying guest. Its cheaper than hostel. the hostel charges 7000 a month. The food is not adequate and there is no proper management. in this price its better to stay in a pg.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful. They frequently visit the college and share information on latest industry happening. Some seniors also teach us extra skills apart from curriculum which will be helpful for us in upcoming placements
Admission
Computer science engineers has the highest demand in the market and colleges have highest placement for them. Moreover its fun to write code based on your mind map. So i choosed this course I gave WBJEE entrance examination and got admission through the rank obtained in it.
Faculty
Teachers know only about syllabus which is old. They dont have knowledge of latest technologies. Anyways they are helpful incase you have any doubts Students are not provided smart classes which reduces teaching quality Most of the subjects in the course are Irrelevant and i must say they should reframe the syllabus. You need work on your own on latest technologies to get industry ready.
