Remarks

The positive part is the college has a very disciplinary environment on campus. Some of the teachers are very helpful. Though some of them I found quite satisfactory. But the overall experience was good for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is overall good. Total 6 streams are there Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Applied Electronics, Computer Science and Information Technology. Total 8 semesters are there distributed over 4 years. In each semester you have to appear for two internals and a one-semester exam for each subject.

Placement Experience

Academy of Technology maintains its fame by providing a consistent campus placement. Every year almost 80% of students are placed through campus placement. MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Mindteck, Mindtree, Oracle finance come to hire students every year.

College Events

There are many cultural events occurred every year in AOT. Those are Regatta - for freshers welcome, Techfiesta - a sports and cultural activity, Arcadia - an annual function of the college. Every year a celebrity comes to Arcadia.

Fee Structure And Facilities

1st semester - Rs.37500, 2nd semester - Rs.38000, 3rd semester - Rs.38500, 4th semester - Rs.39000, 5th semester - Rs.39500, 6th semester - Rs.40000, 7th semester - Rs.40500, 8th semester - Rs.41000.Note admission fee - Rs.25000, training fee extra - Rs.20000 to Rs.30000, semester exam fee - Rs.1200 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship scheme Tuition Fee Waiver(TFW). In this scheme, you don't have to pay any semester fee. Others fee applicable.5% of students for any streams get this. Also, a half waiver scheme is there where half of the tuition fee or semester fee will be waived. Various banks come at the time of admission to offer loans.

Campus Life

Lab Infrastructure is quite satisfactory. Many of the electronic instruments are faulty. Sports activities are there Cricket, Football, Volleyball, technical bot games are there. Students enthusiastically participate in all these games. Also, the intercollege competition is there.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are requested every year to come and join the college annual function Arcadia. Most of them go and join the programs. They are also helpful in guiding the juniors in a proper way. In my case, I got a lot of help from the seniors.

Admission

You have to appear for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and secure a proper rank. Rank varied for different streams. So by securing a proper rank you can get admission to this college through the counseling process.

Faculty

Some of the faculty members are very knowledgeable and polite, they keep the wish to help the students in a proper way. Especially in exam times they are very helpful and discuss a variety of questions. But few are really poor and need to change their mentality towards teaching.

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

I like my class infustructure and lifts for men and woman

I rate my college course curriculum is so good see them i will take admission in this college and the faculties teaching methods are good exam time will fix by exam board and they always think about students comfort.

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is good.I would consider the college as very clean.
The campus life is pretty good but there are strict instructions to freshers to not roam in the campus.

Dislikes

I disliked the condition of the bathroom and the corridor on the first day.
My hostel room was very filthy.The workers charges ₹100 for cleaning it

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

Its our lovely college TIU

Likes

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

One of the best things about my college is all the classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The classrooms, labs and even the toilets are cleaned regularly, which really helps to create a comfortable learning environment.
All the clubs of the college remain active all the time no matter whether it's technical clubs or fest related clubs like fun events domain, etc.
The most important thing is that the college is entirely ragging -free. College also maintains a healthy girls to boys ratio.

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite compact compared to the number of students in each class . At times it feels overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable during lectures.
Some of the faculty members are relatively inexperienced. It often feels like they don't have full command over the subject they're teaching, which can affect the overall understanding of important concepts.
Another issue I've noticed is the irregularity in certain subject classes. Not all subjects are taught consistently every semester , and there are high chances of some classes getting missed or not scheduled properly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit for placements form 7 th semester that is from the beginning of final year. Usually the service based companies come here with cgpa criteria and offer jobs to students.

Likes

They provide you with various oppertunities like exposure visits, seminar , worshops, etc.

Labs are not well maintained the machines are very slow

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Likes

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Placement Experience:

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More

Academy of technology Reality check

I got this this from WBJEE , i wrote this exam and I score rank under 12 k in which our college has cutoff of 20k. I applied for the councelling of WBJEE and got selected in first round .
