One of the best institutions in eastern India

The new academic building is very good and the mega mess serves very healthy and tasty food the placement is very good here only thing is that the campus is not closed and so it is a bit dirty.But overall college is very good

The course structure is very good and the professor are very much research oriented.The professors are so research oriented that you will not like it.The exams are evenly spaced so we don't have a hectic day.

The company that come are mostly located near college like TATA MOTORS, TATA STEEL, L&T, ADOBE only for CS they give good stipend between 10000 to 1 lakh only for CS.Adobe offers only 3 internships.There are several other companies that visit.

The cultural fest is called culfest.The technical fest is called ojass.And there are several other branch fests.The best one being technica.It is the best of metallurgy.The biggest branch fest in Eastern India.

The fees for UG program is 1lakh10 thousand per semester.it is like any other nit or IIT.This includes hostel fees and mess fees.The tuition fees is 42,000 per semester.Mess fees is 16000 per semester

There are various loans available but none are only for nit Jamshedpur they are normal study loans given by banks then there is fee waiver for sc st students and poor students.There is no scholarship facility

There are almost all the games here.There is no swimming pool.there are no parties but there is a mess party for every semester.For every four boys there is one girl.college is very tolerant regarding to gender ethnicity race religion sexual orientation politics and economics status.

Hostel seats are sufficient the hostel infrastructure is very good.In 1st year you have to share rooms but after that you get single room hostel fees is around 42000 per semester.It is compulsory to stay in hostel for 1st year

There is no instance of ragging in this college.The seniors are very helpful.Each year there is alumini meet you can meet your alumini and ask any question if you have.nothing will help you with your notes and providing any information that you want for the college

I got admission through JEE mains rank.The course I have choosen is metallurgy and materials engineering.I have choosen this course because the placements are good and it is one of the oldest branches of this college from 1960 when this college was established as RIT Jamshedpur.We have NML and TATA STEEL that are pioneers in metallurgy.

The faculty of the college are very qualified almost every one has a PhD and is an alumini of a IIT.The teachers are interested to teach every thing they will be very persistent for attendance and you will not like this behaviour
