Remarks
College is over all good college and has a reputation in West Bengal in engineering but has Saturn negative remarks as well. Besides being such a reputed college the college lacks its expected placementand the second point is the college does not have a student council in its administrative department because of this the student have not given full freedom and a restricted to many certain things which is important for a student for his overall development. Ignoring other few of negative remarks the college on an overall all is good and I will rate the college 8 out of 10.
Course Curriculum Overview
Heritage is an Autonomous body but comes under MAKAUT. The exam structure consists of total of 8 semesters in course duration of 4years taken at a interval of 6 months.The course curriculum is good but when it comes comes to syllabus then it is quite outdated and I believe it should be updated.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities are Gadar very bad.Placements here are decent ,companies like TCS ,Tech Mahindra ,Wipro Infosys ,Microsoft ,come here every year to recruit students. Major of the recruiters are generally mass recruiters I have heard from my seniors that the college to provide internships but without Stipends.
College Events
Our college celebrates annual fest called Heritage utsav every year in the month of February welcome the new new batch of students (freshers). Disawar college organise many tech fest as well. But the budget of these functions are not very high and in the and the hackathon conducted by our college are really bad when it comes to you giving rewards.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fishes for a BTech student are quite affordable and and is a general fee structure of any engineering college in West Bengal. our per semester fees on an average is around 50,000 and in total in the span of 4 years total fee structure comes round 4-4.5 lakhs per student which is an average fee structure throughout West Bengal for B tech courses
Fees and Financial Aid
no scholarship given by any college just make a Bonafide for the needy students and through that Bonafide students can take loan from Government and and take other benefits of the schemes provided by government
Campus Life
Our college has its own playground and it has his own cricket team, football team ,basketball team ,tennis team ,and has a common games room area for indoor sports like carrom ,table tennis etc.because of absence of any student council in the college admin department these grounds are not well utilised by the students.
Alumni/Alumna
College does not have a strong eliminate change but few of the Ellen eyes are well reputed and well recognised in the society few of them have cleared UPSC entrance exam few of them are researchers in foreign universities like MIT, California University, etc.unfortunately we do not get much chance to talk to them but whenever we get a chance and talk to them they are very helpful persons and they always try to help us.
Admission
I secured a rank of 2137 in Wbjee Examination and applied for wbjee counselling through which i got CSE branch(Btech) in Heritage Institute of Technology. In the first round of council itself I got computer science engineering branch in Heritage Institute of Technology and I locked my choice they only because of the reputation of this Institute and generally all the students of my class have came through the same process but few of them are from management quota as well.
Faculty
Very good faculty ,you can go anytime to ask any of your query and they will welcome you warmly and tried their best to solve the issue. Few of the teachers are quite rude and are ignorant when it comes to solving queries of students.
