Remarks

Yes our college has also aome negative remark. This college infrastructure is not too good. Mess food is of poor quality and very much restrictions in hostel as well as campus like you don't enter into campus after 8 pm. Also if you want to read books in library then you are in wrong college library close at 4 pm daily which is unsatisfactory.

Course Curriculum Overview

My stream is B.Tech(ECE) and the course Curriculum is satisfactory. If you want to take deep knowledge about subject then plz don't take admission in this college because teachers only focus on completing there syllabus in rough manner. Exam structure is simple 6 months per semester.

Placement Experience

Talking about job opportunities is very good. Our college gives best placements in this region. Placements in B.Tech and MBA is good. It give a better platform for placement and good environment. No there is not any internship provided.

Lists of events are : Parivartan - It is one of the biggest technical and non-technical fest celebrated every yeay in our college. Freshers party: Basically second year students give welcome party to first year students. Radio day: It celebrated by ece branch on the occasion of radio day. THRUST : It is celebrated by mechanical branch every year. Hackathon : One of the best technical event with open campus so that students from other college also participate. MNU : In this various bussiness delicate comes to share their knowledge to become your own enterperneur. And many more evvents celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is ?43000/semester Yes, i think it is quite expensive but other private colleges take about double of that and facilities are not more than that. So i thik this is feasible. Because it gives same plateform in which other private college gives you.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college gives scholarship to academics as well as transport. But academics scholarship is given only to students who is either from punjab or chandigarh. If you come from other state then this college don't give any scholarship to the students.

Campus Life

Labs are good with proper equipment are there. Also our college support sports and conduct many tournaments such as inter College cricket tournament,inter college football tournament,chess league,table tennis tournament, badminton tournament and much more.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are very helpful and friendly. In my first day i meet one senior which is very supportive and now he is my good friend and treat as a brother. If you made good network to senior then they also support you very much.

Admission

First i visit this college with my father for proper varification. My father asked some questions about academics and placements which is quite good in this college. Take a quick view about infrastructure and finally we decide to took admission. I submitted my DMC interviewer asked some question about my percentage and and past college. And finally we pay my required fee and take admission.

As i discuss earlier if you want to take deep knowledge about subject then plz don't take admission in this college because teachers only focus on completing there syllabus in rough manner. In this college teachers have not enough knowlege about there subject. One teacher study 2-4 subject which is quite unsatisfied.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Likes

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

I chose Chandigarh Engineering College Laundry over the other due to its strong placement record affordable structure and good industry connections first up I applied to Chitkara University and Lovely Professional University but found C see more cost effective with a well structured curriculum.
