Overall, college excels in academics front with its eminent faculty but shows poor performance in extra-curricular activities. Fests should be comparatively good. Placement cell needs to be more active. It needs to be improved in terms of job opportunitie

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance examination. It was through cut off of Delhi University.I opted for this college as it is one of the good colleges of Delhi University and the course i got was the one I wanted.

Internships Opportunities

There was no such internship during my college time. I passed two years back. I am not aware about the current status.

Placement Experience

No matter how much college boasts of this, real picture is not the same. Placement cell is present in the college but quite inactive. Very few companies visited the campus. Some of those were Genpact, RBS, Oberoi etc. Just 30-40% of students get placed. Rest of them sits in central placement of the university. Average package is around 1.8 -2 lakh for UG courses.

College Events

There was only one annual festival, named, TIDE, which did not see much student participation as compared to the fests of the colleges. I attended it only in first year and after that i was more keen to attend the fest of other colleges of University

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is under Delhi University, so fee structure is quite feasible and will not make a hole in your pocket. There is no hostel facility. For all non-Delhities, it comes as a big trouble thanks to the living standard in city.Cafeteria will not impress you much as quality of food is not hygienic though you can find enough variety on menu. Not to get disappointed as there are so many eateries nearby providing delicious food at reasonable prices.

Neither I have availed any loan/scholarship nor I am aware about so.

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Great college with good faculty and student crowd

Placement Experience:

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

So I didn't really apply to any of the colleges I filled the preference sheet in the csas portal and I got selected in this college. I chose this college because it was very convenient for me, not that far and not that close from my house. No I didn't get any rejection from any other colleges. The admission process for my college is through CUET conducted by NTA, The eligibility for my course is atleast 45% in 10+2 and the exam accepted for my course is CUET only. CUET is the exam mostly preferred by the students, cutoffs for this exam for my course was 650 for general and around 550 for my category. I was made to prepare a list of colleges that provided the course that I opted for. So I made a list of all thr college in accordance to my convenience and what I wished to get into. ARSD Emerging College of South Campus (NIRF 7)

To get admission into ARSD College or any other college in the University of Delhi you should have an aggregate of 60% at least. 12th appearing or 12th pass. You have to give CUET (Central University Entrance Test) and score as high as you can. Application fees for General, OBC, and EWS candidates are RS 600. For ST, SC RS 550. For applying last date will be the first week of march and the exam will be conducted in the last week of May. It may vary. Delhi University Releases its cut-off based on CUET Scores for various colleges. I availed reservation of OBC NCL which is 27% of seats. My score of CUET was 609 and I got ARSD College.
