Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was good and designed by Savitribai Phule Pune University, the exam for each year is divided into two semesters. For first year all students of every stream have same basic engineering subjects, from second year specialized subjects are there according to branch, final year has project

Placements are average. There are very few core companies visiting the campus for placements. There are many BPOs visiting for placements. College has training and placement office which gives some idea about placement process.

College Events

There are many events arranged by college and Savitribai Phule Pune University such as technical events like Garudashva, Baja, supra, etc, there are cultural events like Ashwamedh also takes place each year

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is above one lakh rupees which is similar to all the engineering Colleges accross the country. But government scholarship schemes makes the college fees and expenses affordable. There is scholarship section in college

I have availed government scholarship scheme. The college has seperate scholarship section in the college campus, they helped all the students regarding the procedure for applying for the scholarship online

Campus Life

There are many interdepartmental sports competition held every year. College campus have big playground and a basketball ground. College does well in Various drama competitions and cricket. Labs are well equipped

Alumni/Alumna

College have strong alumni network. All are connected through the WhatsApp group. They help for various events held by the college, there is also yearly alumni meeting held by seniors of college.

Admission

From DTE CAP Rounds we get admission in this college which is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. First we have to register on dte website,then the cap rounds take place from which we get alloted a college according to our merit

Faculty

Faculty are good, Senior year courses have good and experienced faculty. But first two years have junior faculty but it's not that they are not goood, they are excellent in their field. I think faculty is overall great.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam. I gave JEE and scored decent enough to fit the remaining 20% JEE based intakes in AISSMS COE. I am interested in the fiend I chose and look forward to explore myself within it....Read More
