Our college is under the MAKAUT University so our exam structure is given by MAKAUT with practical amd theory paper of 30 marks and 70 marks respectively though some subjects have only theory papers.

As our college is a new college so placements will start from the year 2020 but we are quite sure that we will get some good placements from our college as we have some really talented students in our college who are capable of getting good job offers

College Events

CGEC also takes care of the health and enjoyment of the studens by conducting technical fest, cultural fest, sports tournaments and fresher's party to just reduce the stress so that we can focus on studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee sturcture is not at all expensive, it is very much affordable though the fees differ for differents streams such as the fees for EE,ME & CE is 3k per semester whereas it is 6k per semester for CSE & ECE.

Fees and Financial Aid

To be honest i have no idea about the scholarships provided by our college as I have not availed any of those but i am quite sure that our college have some scholarship schemes for students.

Other than academics CGEC also takes care of extracurricular activities with technical and sports events occuring over the year keeping us active in these activities by not only focusing on academics

Seniors are very helpful and friendly, they can guide you whenever you need, no matter it be your career or sports moreover your college is a ragging free college.

Admission

You need to apply for WBJEE exam and wait for the results for 1-2 weeks, you can then get admitted in this college on the basis of your rank, you can only get admitted if you have a suitable rank

Our faculty members are well educated and very helpful, they have a good teaching method and they are always ready to clear your doubts, you just need to make them aware of the fact that you need their help

My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

In my college according to this year college placements went 82% . If you can't get campus placement , there is a high probability if you can apply for any job outside campus and you have relevant skills you can get it .
