Government is taking full care of the college and trying its best to maintain its reputation, development and prosperity with time.Proper funding are provided by the ruling government to conduct the required changes and so whatever is negative for now is going to be positive within a month's time

The course curriculum is totally similar to the government owned other colleges like jadavpur and kalyani government engineering college. We are an autonomous body ,having our own set of syllabus and course outline which is very much practical knowledge based rather than the orthodox theoritcal subjects. The exam structure is semester based,twice in an year, May-June and December.

Placements are overall guranteed for the students but the students must be very much well in verse with the technical knowledge and other concepts required for the interview purposes. Moreover intetnships need to be acquired from outside by using your own skills and depending on the instituition or company, stipend varies.

Starting from freshers welcome,followed by teacher's day celebration, saraswati puja organised by the 1st year students, technical fest organized by the 2nd year students, Biswa-karma puja which is fully taken care by 3rd year students and the final event ,the biggest fest " JAGRITI " organised jointly by 3rd and 4th year students which has been a major success over the years passing by.

It is very feasible as it is very nominal as compared to the Private engineering colleges all around because the semester fees here is only 6000/- for computer science, 12000 for Information Technology and 3000/- for the Ceramic technology students and is highly affordable in this regard.

Since it is a totally government funded autonomous institute,so whatever be the government schemes regarding loans and student scholarships,they are same and equally applicable for students of our college.They apply and if they are found to be eligible,the concerned body offers that amount of money during his course.

Extra curricular activities are quite less at this time but is definitely going to rise and get developed in the recent times. Lab and sports are equally taken care of and done properly with time. They are very much appreciated by everyone.

They are very helpful and the alumni network is seriously one of the largest in this zone ,i.e over 50years so highly recommended. On joining the college,we had joined a facebook group named as GCECT ORIGINALS where we get the social notifications about the college and highly helpful to get connected with the mass.

I appeared in WBJEE 2017 and secured a rank of 4634 and got admission in the computer science department of this college.After the counseling process ,we went to the college and got our admission process successfully completed.

They are really knowledgeable and highly qualified personalities. We are blessed to have teachers like them. Everyone is doing well in their respective subjects,pursuing higher education and gathering more experience day by day. They try their best to help us in every possible way to educate us.
