Placement Experience

3.5

The college does not have as such direct placements from here. The college only provides one internship course of the duration of 1 year in which students are being offered with the stipend around 17,000. After this, NEET PG exam is being conducted from where the students are being selected according to their scores and availability of seats.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a government medical college, the college is feasible but very hard to get in. The college is affordable too as the fee is only Rs 1355 per annum. All the students from middle class families can afford it too but cracking the examination and getting the good rank to get into the college is very difficult.

Campus Life

3.5

College, along with the strong academics do provide the students with the extra curricular activities for their grooming. The college has many societies like drama, fashion , sports, fine arts e.t.c so in that way too you get sometime out of studies where you can follow your hobby. All the societies are easy to register in and that too without any fee required. The location of the college is also good. It is located in CP where you can find everything . All the restaurants and it has many visiting places too. Rastrapati bhavan, Bangla Saheb are some of the places to visit. It is a great market place. The very famous palika bazar is very near to college and can be reached in only 10 mins from college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel and the campus of the college is not that good. It is just okay types. The college has a mess which has just an average food. However, the hostel is cool, not so strict but very hard to get. It is also given on the merit basis.

Admission

Students have to appear for one common medical entrance examination, i.e., NEET. NEET is the only examination for the entrance in medical colleges. After the examiation, result is declared and the merit list is prepared according to which the medical colleges are alloted to the students where they can pursue there dream course.

Faculty

4

Since it is one of the best colleges for Medical in the country, All the Faculty members of the college are excellent and are dedicated to teaching. Their teaching methodology is excellent. They mostly use presentations while teaching. Practicals, demos and clinical postings are great and help us to learn a lot. The curriculum has a lot of exams, but in the long run, they help a lot in learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has been revised in 2019 and the new curriculum (CBME: Competency-Based Medical Education) is all about patient-based approach and clinical approach which is very amazing since that's how we'll be dealing with patients in real life. The faculty of Lady Hardinge is amazing as long as you're willing to learn. The practical sessions especially are the best since you get to see everything you've learnt in theory. The syllabus is very vast and it's very difficult but you can do fairly well if you go through it consistently. The term exams are held before each semester and after every year you need to give professional exams also known as 'proffs'. You'll have to pass the proffs in order to be promoted to next year which is very easy if you have a grip on the basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has 4 to 5 permanent faculties and 2 faculty from the base hospital Delhi Cantt. in each department. That is 1 teacher for approx 15 students. The teachers are all super specialised in their respective fields and mostly all are very efficient in teaching while following the latest MCI guidelines. there are a total of 4 exams a student has to give mid-term, end terms, pre-proof and proofs. The exams are all designed to ensure that the passing students are eligible to be called doctors but not so tough as to fail a lot of students. An average result has about 15 fails in 100 students

Remarks:

I did my MBBS from NDMC Medical College which was worth it. The college has great education system with a good faculty and nice campus with a green cover. The college has a hostel but it is not as good so I would recommend staying outside campus. The training programmes and practicals bring in depth to studying at this college.

Remarks:

There is no negative news about this college, everything is best here. Few points on aiims -*College management is also perfect. *Faculty members never tried to shun their responsibilities with respect to teaching, research and patient care. Senior students were required to teach their juniors on a regular basis, even in OT's (operation theatre). *Get together were organised during celebrations of important festivals which included admitted patients. All religions were given importance.
