Remarks

Well. I find Christ University to be a really good college where students are moulded with experiences and new talents to cope up with difficulties in future. The professionalism in the college maintained and discipline structure is quite strict but this is what keeps a student keep up with such discipline. Some cases come out where there might be problems but ultimately it is a place for a student to be!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Be it any course in Christ , there is something special about the university and it's teaching itself. The course curriculum not only includes written works but also practical life Assignments that moulds a student. Exams are taken place at 2 main levels in each semester and includes CIAs for marks.

Placement Experience

4.5

Christ has become a brand name in Bengaluru and many corporates in the city depend upon our university. Job opportunities, therefore , is at its best and placements are based on real merit and skills of an individual as different people come to interview and send recruitment letters to the college. Internship is a very important concern of the University to ensure training of students for future and there are constant internship offers to all the students who are willing to join so. I personally have never been a part of an internship but I have been provided opportunities.

College Events

3.5

All kinds of events which are celebrated in India or maybe other countries , mainly on academic fields , annual events , etc. Many events and fests keep on going within the campus involving several departments. Cultural events such as ethnic day and Christian events are also beautifully celebrated. And there is no discrimination as professionalism exists in Christ University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are certain courses which are actually very expensive but promising as well where you are more exposed and open to several better opportunities in career development. However , certain courses are really cheap compared to many other instituitions. And also , fee concessions are provided to poor background students along with scholarships .

Fees and Financial Aid

The bank within the campus helps people who want to be admitted with loans at good rates and scholarships are provided on merit if students perform well in semesters . Fee concessions are also provided.

Campus Life

4.5

Be it any activity, Christ University has it all. Annual sports takes place. Have well maintained labs and infrastructure for students' learning. Darpan and Blossom's are the main known extracurricular activities taken at peak levels, well known in Christ. All extracurricular activities are well organised.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have not opted for hostel facilities as undergraduate boys students are not provided for so . But I have heard from the girls that hostels are actually good with infrastructure and facilities which is present in any normal PG or hostel .

Alumni/Alumna

During many events , recognised people and known alumnus comes to these events and have a say on their experience with the college. Senior students passed out are quite busy in life as they have their own stories to tell about their experiences. They found Christ to be the best place and college life is definitely the best phase of life.

Admission

I had to apply for my bcom course admission through online forms which were to be submitted in the college itself, physically, selection test was taken up which was quite easy and then few interviews over a period of 2 days and at last pay the ultimate fees along with documents for the first year.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty are chosen to be from the specialised areas who helps students in every possible way. The visiting teachers from outside become difficult to reach but already helpful when in the campus. Some teachers are not as effective as others are but it's still good.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
