It's a good college to pursue engineering in India after IITs and some good NITs. And it has a mixture of culture so we can learn many things and this will gift is a large network of friends all over the India. Fifty percentage seat reservation to other state quota is helping for making NIT a multi cultural college.

Course curriculum is both theory and practical oriented. Sem system is followed. There are two sems in one year and each sem consists of one mid sem and one end sem exam series. And the total mark is calculated from both these exams.

Placements are good and extremely good for top branches like cse and ece, for core branches also there is placements but the average salary is about 7 lakh per annum and cs have almost 100 percentage placement.

Tathva and ragam are the main events in NIT CALICUT. Tathva is a technical fest and ragam is a cultural fest. Both comes under South India's largest fests. Tathva is conducted usually in October and ragam is conducted in January.

It is according to your income. Of your yearly income is below one lakh then there is no fee but some miscellaneous fee is there. And if your income is on between 1 to 5 two thirds of the fee is given back and if income is above 5 there there is full fee about 1.25 lakh per annum.

Scholarships are mainly provided by Central and States governments and we have to apply separately for that. But the verification of the uploaded documents have to be done from the NIT. And few scholarships to NIT students are present. The scholarships are mainly provided according to their income and cgpa.

NIT CALICUT have some good sports teams compared to other nits. Football is main sports. NIT C is holding the football cup over few years. And also cricket, hockey, hand ball, swimming, kho-kho, volley ball, tennis, basketball, table tennis etc are also present.

Hostels are somewhat old but construction of new hostels are in progress. For second year new hostels are provided called mega hostels. For ladies also mega hostels are present. Admission to these hostels are decided according to the rules of NIT.

Yeah, there are few alumni networks and also senior students are working to help us. There are selected students who are representative for many sections and NIT definitely have good alumni network all over the world.

Admission to nit is through jee mains. And from the total seats Fifi percentage are reserved for home state and the remaining for other state. Also reservation to various categories and females are also present.

Faculties are good. They are well educated and most of them had their PhD from top universities both from India and foreign countries. And enough faculties are present in the college. And during our course carrier we have one faculty as our faculty adviser.
