Remarks
Overall NMIT is a very good and well known college, but the mess services can be very much improved and worked on. Besides that there is nothing to criticize of, there are usual things that one may encounter anywhere and everywhere.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since NMIT is an autonomous institution, The curriculum is much better than other affiliated colleges but it can be further upgraded and refined. There are 3 Internal mid-semester exams (of 30 marks usually)out of which average of best 2 is considered and then at last 1 external/university exam(of 50 marks) is conducted, remaining 20 marks are taken from assignments.
Placement Experience
The Job opportunities in NMIT are very good and vast, they do everything to provide you with exposure and opportunities so that it can help you develop and finally be helpful in your placement. The college also helps in getting Internships, although I have not applied for one, I m in 1st year.
College Events
ANAADYANTA is our college's main fest and is well known in whole of Bangalore, colleges from whole of Karnataka take part in it. Considering that my college is a private one, the expenditure done on the fest is quite impressive.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure for students coming through COMED-K is fixed but for students through Management, it is a bit expensive compared with colleges of Delhi and NCR but compared to colleges here in Bengaluru its feasible and affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I haven't taken one, although many are offered based on the 1st year's grade.
Campus Life
The clubs are quite many and they offer the exposure that one expects and seeks in a good college. There are all kind of clubs, drama, music, dance, tech and NMIT also offers you a chamce to join NCC and NSS(Social welfare).
Alumni/Alumna
Yes , all over the seniors are very helpful and co-operative. They guide you and help you in every step of the way. They will help you in anything from your personal problems to any academic related problem.
Admission
I had heard about NMIT a lot and It was also in top 100 in NIRF ranking. I then approached the college office directly and applied for admission in my college through Management qouta, which was approved adter assessing my 12th grade's performance.
Faculty
It completely depends on the departement, but my department , CSE's faculty are one of the most helpful and gentle people you can find anywhere. I dont have experience about other department's faculty but as far as I know they may be strict but are quite helpful.
