Course Curriculum Overview

Course is deep studying. para military training is given here there were mny historic events taken place during my time. state of the art laboratories are there to learn the course.i have learned that the course curriculum is very deep and without practical experience tough to understand

There is too much money in my profession. Placements are good. People opting for other colleges have aced tough times. i was placed ina firefighting company. My trainee stipend was 60000 rupees per month. paid in US dollars

College Events

College feat is the merriest time of the year. juniors het to know seniors. people brong frimds and families to the events as they are humimgus events to be seen. we have parades sports cultural events. Miss indias have visited,shreya ghoshal visited 6 years back

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive. But loan can be availed at no cost. One day loan availability is present. No mortgage to be provided. rate if intrest is less. fee is overall very expensive but for the course and service its the cheapest in india

Scholarship is provided by certain states that you belong to. and if you come under the catagory. Alumina gives a scholarship every year to two cadets. loan is intrest free if you’re family incomes is under 3lpa. for scoring under 60 ranks semesters fees can be leived off

Uts a paramilitary institution. There are mandatory sports participation requirements.laboratories are far better than any other marine institutions. Singing songs is a encouraging activity that seniors will encourage you for at events

Hostels are mandatory. hostels are very messy and packed. but new building ms being constructed now are of ery good builts and design. now they hadbe provided with free internet connection.the food is good and healthy. Tasty untill one year

Alumina is perfect in this industry. world knows about the DMET in shipping industry. DMET alumnus have a strong network since 1947. People meets and parties are organised evry year in collee to celebrate the alumni

I had saw a advertisement in hundustan times. I was looking for colleges to fill into. So i went ahead and filled for the IMUCET-2014 exams. i went and gave the exam in a bhopal, M.P. Centre. Its a computer based exam. had English ability test, aptitude test, match physics chemistry. then the results came i had 1370 rank im cet obc quota. i filled for councelling. 10000rs. For counselling. I got admitted into kolkata campus for merine engineering course. fee was 9 lacks for the course. i took loan from SBI scholar loan. without mortgage. My college was in premiere institutes list of SBI’s education loan criteria.it was free of mortgage loan. with 10 percent floating rate. i went colleges took my medical tests. got admitted into college with submitting fees and coution money and school documents.

Its a government college. Government has not provided enough facilities. the faculties present are knowledgable but very less in number. the facility provided is good to learn. Teachers taught us is still to date helpful

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation.
