Remarks

Internal politics must be overcome by the faculty. They must come forward for better placement of core students must work hard for the sake of the students.

Entrance Preview

WBJEE was the entrance exam. My rank was 1623 in the year 2008. I was always fond of electrical instruments.I got my admission there.

Placement Experience

Tcs, ddl, wbsedcl, capgemini etc company come for recruitment. Great placement record in it,ece,cse.

College Events

Robotics, interdepartment football, freshers welcome, techfest are the festivals. Techfest continue for almost 2 weeks where different colleges can participate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Its fullfree and half free of the semester fee decided by the authority on the basis of marks and economic status.

Campus Life

For core subjects gender ratio is very poor.KGEC is almost free from dirty politics.Only one union is there but for the good of students.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are pretty good.2 to 3 students in a room.Fees is very less.good quality food at mess.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

College evry year call there alumni students for good relation with them in a ceremony(alumni meet)

Placement Experience:

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

If you can't get campus placement , there is a high probability if you can apply for any job outside campus and you have relevant skills you can get it . Students are eligible for placement after 3rd year(6th sem) There are many companies such as TCS, cognizant , Wipro etc Avg salary is 4-5 lakhs and some also gets 8-9 lakh 70 to 80 % students gets placed while the companies visits our campus

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
