Which one should I opt for IIT Delhi B.Tech Electrical Engineering Power and Automation or IIT Kharagpur B.Tech Naval architecture & Ocean Engineering

Sorry, there is no marine engineering course for B.Tech in any IITs or NITs. You can study ‘Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering’ at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras. NIT Karnataka also offers this course.

If you want to pursue higher studies, there's an option to get an M.Tech in Marine Engineering from NIT Karnataka.

Two students studied OENA at IIT KGP. One is a successful analyst at CITIBANK after completing a dual degree in OENA + MBA from VGSOM while in college. The other is about to graduate from Harvard Business School.

What I’m saying is that you can find success in OENA, but it's rare in the core field. Pursue OENA if you want, but consider switching to better opportunities. This generally applies to all branches at all colleges, except CS.

However, IIT Delhi edges out slightly in terms of overall campus culture and industry connections. Personally, I'd recommend IIT Delhi for those looking for a blend of tech and coding with a lively campus life, while IIT Kharagpur is a great pick for those specifically passionate about naval engineering.

Ocean Engineering & Naval Architecture is a field where you really grow through experience and practical knowledge (this is true for any branch, but especially for OENA). A program at a prestigious institute like IIT KGP will equip you with the essential skills and confidence (if you put in the effort) to kickstart your career.

Opportunities are promising after graduation if you choose to pursue this field, but patience is key.
