• Big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, etc., are well aware of this branch and see no distinction between Mathematics and Computing (M&C) and Computer Science (CSE). The entire hiring process is exactly the same.
• For smaller IT companies, we sometimes need to put in a bit of effort to convince them to include Mathematics and Computing students in their placement process. Some are open to it, while others stick to their policies.
• There are companies, like Deloitte, that offer job profiles exclusively for Mathematics and Computing students.

After joining, you will likely be seen as a good fit for the Machine Learning/Data Science teams in these companies.

As for statistics, the number of companies visiting this placement season to hire from this branch is close to 50 (and still counting), while for Computer Science, it's around 60. Almost all students secure placements by the end of the season. The average package so far is 10.5 LPA.
