If you have a passion for a particular branch, choose it, regardless of which IIT you’re considering (excluding the newer ones, for which NITs might be a better option).

The second reason is even worse, yet it’s the most common. Deciding what you want to do four years down the line is simply unwise. There are countless opportunities available at IITs, and allowing things to unfold naturally tends to be the better approach.

So, it ultimately comes down to IIT Delhi or IIT Kharagpur. I can confidently say that all three departments in question are more than capable of securing a promising future. Fields like Civil or Aerospace Engineering may not offer the same level of assurance.
