Biotechnology is one of the fastest-growing majors worldwide! If you're really interested in bio, it definitely has a great future, both in India and abroad. More or less, IIT Delhi's brand and branch will suit future prospects best. Even students from lower-tier biotech programs are getting recognized now. You can pursue a PhD in India in biotech—it's a great time to start, especially after the pandemic.

IIT Kanpur's Chemical Engineering is also very good but quite tough to handle. It has a lot of analytical-based curriculum. According to your interest, you can decide! Please share your thoughts on whether my views align with current trends; your comments will encourage me to write more on technical aspects!

If you're all about hustling, you should definitely choose a better college because better opportunities come from better institutions. Now, regarding your choices, hustling requires a manageable branch, but neither Biotechnology nor Chemical Engineering is particularly easy.

  • Biotechnology has a lot of lab courses, making it demanding.
  • Chemical Engineering is tough on its own.

So, if you're looking to hustle, consider options that have a lighter workload. From these choices, IIT Delhi for Biotechnology might be the better pick, but make sure to explore options that align with your interests and needs. Congrats on your decision!

IIT Delhi’s B.Tech in Electrical Engineering offers a strong reputation and excellent placement opportunities, with around 88% of students securing jobs, which might justify its high fees. In contrast, IIT Kharagpur’s B.Tech in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering may have lower initial costs, but the ROI can vary greatly depending on industry demand. While both colleges have scholarships for reserved categories, IIT Delhi's fees are notably higher, impacting middle-class families. If you're leaning towards a more stable and potentially lucrative career path, go for IIT Delhi; however, if you have a genuine passion for biotechnology and prefer a more affordable option, IIT Kharagpur could be the smarter financial choice.
