IIT Delhi for B.Tech in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering can be a solid choice if you're interested in a field with growing international demand, especially in healthcare. However, the fees are around Rs.1,19,000 per semester, which is quite hefty, though it offers various clubs and a vibrant campus life. On the other hand, IIT Kharagpur's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering might provide better ROI since tech jobs are consistently in demand and often come with higher salaries post-graduation. While both have similar fee structures, the tech field generally offers a clearer path to lucrative placements. If you're leaning towards biotech due to passion, go for IIT Delhi; but if you want a financially smarter move with a stronger job market, IIT Kharagpur is likely the better pick.

IIT Delhi's B.Tech in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering offers a unique niche with rising global demand, especially in health and environmental sectors, but the placements might not be as robust as IIT Kharagpur's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, which generally has a wider range of tech job opportunities and higher salary packages. While IIT Delhi boasts a vibrant campus life and excellent infrastructure, IIT Kharagpur tends to have better internship and placement statistics due to the immense popularity of its CSE program. If you're more inclined towards biotechnology and its future prospects, IIT Delhi might be the right pick, but if you want more immediate job opportunities and higher packages, IIT Kharagpur's CSE will likely serve you better.

No. Big NO. You can’t make it - Take CS wherever it’s available for your cut-off. Maybe tier 2 or tier 3 universities/colleges because your score is unclear - At one point, you mentioned being weak in Permutations and Combinations - That’s how you prepared for JEE - Coding skills alone aren’t enough - A solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms is fundamental for a strong foundation in CS - So don’t make the big mistake of choosing Bio Tech. If you can get CS anywhere, go for it - If you can’t get CS even in a Tier 3 college, then you can pursue whatever you want.

  • If you're looking at consulting and research opportunities, then IIT Delhi takes the lead any day.

IIT Delhi for B.Tech in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering offers a solid curriculum with a focus on global biotech trends, but the competition is fierce and the grading tough. Both colleges have excellent infrastructure and faculty, but if you're passionate about biotech and ready for rigorous academics, IIT Delhi is for you. However, if you want a more straightforward path to a tech career with strong job prospects, go for IIT Kharagpur.
