NIT Trichy’s B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a robust curriculum tied to real-world applications, which can be beneficial for those looking to secure internships and placements with tech giants. The fees are relatively low, with options for scholarships based on family income, making it a great value for money. In contrast, Jadavpur University’s BE in Power Engineering also has a strong reputation, but the placement opportunities seem less frequent and the financial aid options may not be as extensive.

Overall, NIT Trichy is likely the smarter financial choice due to better placement rates and more substantial financial support for students, while Jadavpur University may suit those specifically interested in power engineering despite potentially lower ROI.

NIT Trichy B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers better placement opportunities compared to Jadavpur University's BE in Power Engineering. NIT Trichy has a strong reputation, with regular visits from top tech companies and impressive internship offers, while Jadavpur University, though well-respected, may not have the same level of recruitment from major tech giants. The hands-on curriculum at NIT Trichy prepares students effectively for real-world challenges, boosting their employability. If you're aiming for higher packages and a wide range of job prospects, NIT Trichy would be the better choice, while Jadavpur University suits those who appreciate a more traditional educational approach and a robust engineering foundation.

If you're considering ETCE at Jadavpur University, I recommend waiting for a chance to upgrade to CSE in the later rounds. If you secure CSE, take it without hesitation! Its average placement is likely double that of NIT Trichy.

However, if you only get ETCE at JU, then Electrical at NIT Trichy is the better choice. Placement-wise, they might be similar, but the NIT tag gives you an edge.

Don’t get me wrong; I have great respect for IIEST, but their placement stats seem a bit outdated. Plus, I've heard their infrastructure isn't quite up to par. This might improve in 4-5 years with their new INI status, but it's uncertain. It's best to avoid risks.

Regarding the peer group, NIT Trichy attracts students from all over India, while JU has a predominantly Bengali background. IIEST has students from West Bengal and other states due to its quota system. So, you'll likely experience a richer cultural diversity at NIT Trichy, which can enhance your personal development.

As for faculty, I can't provide much insight there.

If we focus solely on Computer Science Engineering, Jadavpur University (JU) offers impressive packages. In 2020, the average package was 19.96 lakhs, even during the pandemic! CSE at JU is quite strong, only falling short compared to a few NITs (like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Allahabad), select IIITs (such as IIIT Hyderabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Delhi), and of course, the top 12 IITs, along with some other esteemed government colleges like DTU and NSIT.

Now, comparing JU with IITs: JU provides solid packages, but the top IITs generally offer even better ones. Plus, IITs present immense opportunities in research, internships, projects, and curriculum. If you're considering pursuing an MS abroad, the IIT tag will definitely carry more weight than JU.

When it comes to NITs versus JU: the placements at the top 4 NITs—Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal, and Allahabad—are better than those at JU. The remaining NITs have packages that are more or less on par with JU. So, if you get into one of those top 4 NITs, it's a clear choice to go for it.

Now, regarding average packages at the mentioned colleges: IIITs outperform JU in terms of packages and course curriculum.

NIT Trichy’s B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a curriculum closely tied to real-world applications and strong placement opportunities with tech giants visiting regularly, making it a solid choice for those focused on industry readiness. On the other hand, Jadavpur University’s BE in Power Engineering has a rich academic heritage and good faculty but might lack the same level of corporate engagement during placements.

While both campuses have vibrant student life, NIT Trichy's diverse extracurriculars and modern facilities give it an edge. Personally, I’d pick NIT Trichy for its better placement prospects and hands-on learning experience, especially if you're keen on a tech career.
