If you're getting ETCE at Jadavpur, I'd recommend waiting and hoping for an upgrade to CSE in the subsequent rounds. If you do secure CSE, definitely choose it over the others any day! Its average placement is likely double that of NIT Trichy.
Now, if you only get ETCE at JU, then Electrical at NIT Trichy is the better choice. Placement-wise, they might be similar, but the NIT tag will give you an edge.
I have great respect for IIEST, but their placement stats seem a bit shaky. Plus, I've heard the infrastructure isn't up to par. This might change in 4-5 years with its new INI status, but that's uncertain. It's better not to take risks.
Regarding the peer group, NIT Trichy will have students from all over India, while JU will mostly have students from a predominantly Bengali background. IIEST will attract students from West Bengal and other states due to its quota system. So, you'll get to learn about different cultures at NIT Trichy, which can help develop your personality.
As for faculty, I don't have much insight into that area.
NIT Trichy for B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a robust curriculum that connects well with real-world applications, along with excellent placement opportunities from top tech companies. However, the faculty interaction seems a bit lacking, which can impact the overall learning experience. Jadavpur University’s BE in Power Engineering might provide a different vibe with its own set of strengths, but I feel NIT Trichy edges out on campus life with its vibrant activities and sports facilities.
If you thrive in a more hands-on and interactive environment, I’d recommend NIT Trichy; but if you prefer a more traditional approach with possibly better faculty engagement, Jadavpur University could be the better fit for you.
NIT Trichy’s B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a solid ROI with low fees around Rs.60,000 per semester and ample scholarship opportunities for economically weaker students, making it a financially smart choice. The campus also provides excellent internship and placement opportunities with tech giants, enhancing your career prospects. In contrast, Jadavpur University's BE in Power Engineering has a rich curriculum but lacks detailed financial insights in terms of fees and scholarships. Overall, if you're looking for a better financial deal with strong placement support, NIT Trichy is the way to go; however, if you prefer a more specialized focus and can invest more in your education, Jadavpur University might suit you better.
NIT Trichy for B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering generally offers a stronger placement record compared to Jadavpur University’s BE in Power Engineering, mainly because NIT Trichy attracts top tech companies and has a more established internship network. The hands-on curriculum at NIT Trichy provides practical exposure, which is highly valued by employers. While Jadavpur University has its merits, including a decent curriculum, it may not match the scale of opportunities available at NIT Trichy. If you prioritize placements and industry connections, go for NIT Trichy; if you’re more interested in a specific niche in power engineering and appreciate a different academic environment, Jadavpur could still be a good choice.
