NIT Trichy B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a solid financial option with an academic fee of around 60,000 per semester and various scholarships that can cover the entire cost for economically weaker students. The campus life is vibrant with tech giants frequently recruiting, providing a high ROI for those in engineering. In contrast, Jadavpur University's Information Technology program may have slightly lower fees but lacks the same level of corporate engagement and placement opportunities, which could affect future earnings. If you’re aiming for high placement chances and a strong return on investment, NIT Trichy is the smarter choice; however, if you prefer a potentially less stressful environment and are interested in IT, Jadavpur could still be a good fit.

If you're getting ETCE at Jadavpur, I suggest you wait and hope for an upgrade to CSE in the next rounds. If you do get CSE, take it over the others any day! Its average placement is probably double that of NIT Trichy.

If you only get ETCE at JU, then Electrical at NIT Trichy is the better choice. Placement-wise, they may be similar, but the NIT tag will tip the balance in its favor.

I have immense respect for IIEST, but the placement stats seem a bit off. Plus, I've heard the infrastructure isn't quite up to par. This might change in 4-5 years with its new INI status, but there's no guarantee. It's best not to take unnecessary risks.

Peer group-wise, NIT Trichy will have students from all over India, while JU will have a predominantly Bengali background. IIEST will attract students from West Bengal and other states due to its quota system. So, you might learn more about different cultures at NIT Trichy, which can help develop your personality.

As for faculty, I can't provide much insight there.

Definitely go for the IT department at Jadavpur! One major reason is the placements. From what I know, the average package for CSE and IT students at Jadavpur is around 13 LPA, while for NIT Durgapur, it's about 7-8 LPA.

Good luck with your future! Enjoy this new chapter in college! Wishing you the best college experience possible! Cheers!

NIT Trichy's B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a robust curriculum with a focus on real-world applications, which is great for hands-on learners, while the campus life is vibrant with numerous cultural and technical events. However, I've heard that faculty interaction might not be as strong, which can affect the overall learning experience. In contrast, Jadavpur University's Information Technology program has a reputation for excellent faculty and a supportive academic environment, but the campus vibe might not be as lively as NIT Trichy's. For placements, both colleges attract top companies, but NIT Trichy tends to have a slight edge due to its established connections with tech giants. If you're someone who values a more dynamic campus life and hands-on experience, NIT Trichy is the way to go, but if you prefer a strong academic foundation with good faculty support, Jadavpur University might be your best bet.

The placements for NIT Trichy in B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering are quite impressive, with many tech giants and FANG companies actively recruiting from the campus, leading to strong job offers and competitive packages. In contrast, Jadavpur University’s Information Technology program also offers decent placement opportunities, but it may not be as robust as NIT Trichy’s, especially in terms of sheer company presence and salary packages. While both colleges provide solid internship options, NIT Trichy's focus on practical learning and industry connections gives it an edge. I’d recommend NIT Trichy for those seeking higher placement prospects and a dynamic campus experience, while Jadavpur University could be a good fit for students who value a strong local network and a more laid-back atmosphere.
