Jadavpur University is undoubtedly a great choice for a B.Tech degree. However, I would recommend opting for NIT Trichy. Here are my reasons:

• NIT Trichy has a stronger brand value across India and even internationally. Many in the western and southern parts of India may not view JU as being on par with NIT Trichy.
• Since your home state is West Bengal, studying away from home will provide you with a wealth of learning experiences. You'll gain independence and learn to manage your life and make decisions for yourself. If you're not prone to homesickness, NIT Trichy is a fantastic option.
• NIT Trichy attracts students from all over India, which isn't the case with JU. You'll have the chance to interact with peers from Kashmir and pick up some South Indian languages. You’ll also get insights into diverse cultures, like why Gujaratis name their snacks "atom bombs" and the unique traditions of Nagaland. This diversity isn’t as prevalent at JU.

This comparison assumes you are considering the same branch at both institutions. If that’s not the case, choose the institute that offers you the better branch.
