I chose B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at LPU because I wanted a solid engineering foundation. The course curriculum is thorough, but it feels like some parts aren't keeping up with the latest trends in tech. The campus is like a mini-city with a fully functional hospital and tons of amenities, which is awesome. But, in terms of placement opportunities for mechanical, don’t expect the same level of recruitment as for CSE or MBA students. If you’re passionate about engineering and enjoy a lively campus life, LPU could be a good fit for you.

For mechanical engineering, I would advise against choosing LPU. Sure, you will get placed, but mostly in marketing or IT roles.

They often highlight the highest package, which is around 44 LPA, but let's focus on the average package. Even in CSE, not everyone gets placed. Mechanical students are frequently pushed into marketing or IT companies just to inflate the placement statistics across various departments.

So, when it comes to mechanical engineering, steer clear of LPU. It's a clear hoax!

I’m currently pursuing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from LPU, and honestly, it’s been a mixed bag. The curriculum is pretty extensive, but some subjects feel outdated. The faculty is experienced, and they maintain a strict academic environment, which I appreciate. The campus is massive and has everything you need, from a mall to banks. But when it comes to placements for mechanical, they’re a bit lacking compared to CSE or IT. If you want a good campus life and decent faculty, LPU is not a bad choice, but be aware of the placement scenario.
