Doing B.Tech in Civil Engineering from LPU has been a great choice for me. I joined through lateral entry, and I found the competition to be manageable. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:4, which means teachers are really accessible. Most of them have PhDs from top institutes, so the quality of teaching is impressive.

We have a good exam structure with 3 CAs, a mid-term, and an end-term exam, making it easier to stay on track. Plus, the internship opportunities with companies like Accenture can fetch you a stipend of 20-30k. If you are serious about placements, LPU also has great companies coming in, with a placement rate of about 80%.

Everyone has their own opinions, but it ultimately depends on how much effort we, as students, put into our careers. It’s all about hard work! LPU is recognized as one of the best universities for civil engineering.

Here are some key points about LPU's civil engineering program:

  • Accreditation: The program is accredited by AICTE and NBA, ensuring it meets high standards of technical education.
  • Academic Reputation: LPU has a strong academic reputation, focusing on providing students with a solid understanding of civil engineering concepts and practical skills.
  • Faculty: Most faculty members come from reputed organizations and hold advanced degrees from prestigious institutes like IITs and NITs, with many having PhDs.
  • Capstone Project: An integral part of the B.Tech program, students select a live project based on real-world problems (ideally from the industry) and work for six months under a mentor, culminating in a presentation report. This enhances presentation skills!
  • Internship Opportunities: There is an internship program that offers valuable work experience, increasing your chances of employment after graduation. However, maintaining a good academic record is essential!

Overall, the experience at LPU can be very beneficial if you are dedicated and hardworking!

I am pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering at LPU and I must say it’s been a rewarding experience. The faculty is well-qualified, with many being IITians and PhD holders, which really helps in grasping complex concepts. The exams are structured well; we have a mid-term and end-term along with CAs, so you can manage your studies easily.

The campus life is vibrant, with lots of clubs to join. I’m part of the music club, and we get opportunities to perform at events. The hostel facilities are decent too, and the mess food is quite good, though I miss having instant noodles! Overall, LPU offers great resources and opportunities for growth.

I chose B.Tech in Civil Engineering at LPU mainly because I wanted to build a stable career in government jobs, and civil engineering has a lot of potential in that area. The faculty here is amazing; most of them hold PhDs and are really approachable. The student-faculty ratio is about 1:10, which makes learning interactive. The curriculum is well-structured with mid-term and end-term exams, so staying updated isn’t a hassle. I've also taken advantage of the scholarship opportunities, which can go up to 60%. Internships are a big plus, and I’ve seen seniors getting placed in reputed companies like Tata and L&T. I’d say if you’re serious about your education and future, LPU is a solid choice.
