The total fees for B.Tech in Civil Engineering at LPU is around 1.5 to 2 lakhs per year, depending on the course structure and other factors. I chose Civil because it offers great government job opportunities, and the faculty here is top-notch, mostly PhD holders. The resources available, like internships and scholarships, make it worth the investment!

The fee structure for B.Tech in Civil Engineering at LPU is around 1.6 to 2.5 lakhs annually. It might seem a bit high, but with the scholarships available through lpunest and other state schemes, it can go down to about 50-60%. Plus, the campus life and opportunities for internships are truly worth it, especially if you're aiming for placements later on!

The total fee for B.Tech or any other program at LPU primarily depends on the student's performance in LPUNEST. LPUNEST offers substantial scholarships that can significantly reduce the total fee, so your fee may vary accordingly.

If we look at the fee structure without any scholarships, it is as follows:

1. For B.Tech, the applicable fee (per semester) is Rs. 90,000.

2. For hostels, LPU offers options ranging from 1-seater to 6-seater hostels and 1 to 4-seater apartments. There is also a dormitory facility available. Your choice will depend on your preference.

  • The fee for a 4-seater hostel is Rs. 52,000 (air-cooled) and Rs. 62,000 (air-conditioned).
  • The fee for a 4-seater apartment is Rs. 82,000 (without pantry) and Rs. 87,000 (with pantry). The fees mentioned are for the full academic year.

3. The fee for food/mess facility is as follows:

  • Standard food: Rs. 32,000 for the full academic year.
  • Basic food: Rs. 24,000 for the full academic year.

4. Laundry charges are Rs. 4,000 per academic year.

The fees have definitely increased since earlier years.

So, if you’re considering admission without any scholarship, here’s what to expect:

  • The cost of each semester in engineering is around ?90,000.
  • Hostel fees for a four-seater room with an air cooler may cost you ?60,000 per year.

Overall, you’re looking at around ?10,00,000 for the entire B.Tech program. If you happen to have backlogs—which is quite common at LPU—you’ll need to pay 10% of your semester fee for each subject.

Plus, your monthly expenses will likely be higher than you anticipate due to the lifestyle there.

So, do the math. By the time you graduate from LPU, you could easily end up spending more than ?15,00,000.

Good luck! Think carefully before deciding if this is worth it or not.

For B.Tech Civil Engineering at LPU, you’re looking at approximately 3-4 lakhs for the entire duration of the course. I found that the college offers good scholarships, so you can get up to 60% off if you qualify. The faculty-student ratio is pretty decent, and they really focus on student interaction, which helps a lot in understanding the subjects.
