How is B.Tech Mechanical Engineering branch at LPU? What about its placement in 2025/26??

I’m currently in the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering branch at LPU, and I’d say it has its pros and cons. The curriculum is quite comprehensive, but some subjects feel outdated compared to what’s trending in the industry. The faculty is experienced, which helps a lot. As for placements in 2025/26, I’ve heard that mechanical branches don’t get as many opportunities as CSE and IT, but there are chances if you work hard and stay updated with skills. The campus life is vibrant, and the facilities are top-notch, which makes the overall experience enjoyable.

I chose B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at LPU because of my family's engineering background, and so far, it’s been a decent experience. The curriculum is detailed, but some topics seem a bit behind the times. As for placements in 2025/26, mechanical engineering doesn’t seem to get as much attention as other branches. Companies do come, but not as frequently. The campus life is lively, and you can participate in various clubs and events. Plus, the hostels are clean and comfortable, making it easier to balance study and fun!

But, I wish they would modernize some parts of the curriculum. In terms of placements for 2025/26, I’ve noticed that mechanical students don’t get the same placement drives as tech fields like CSE. That said, if you're proactive and network well, you can still find good opportunities. The campus itself is fantastic, with everything you could possibly need, from a mall to a hospital!
