What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from B.Des DTU??

As a current B.Des student at DTU, I’ve learned that the in-hand salary for graduates can vary a lot. From what I’ve gathered, many students land jobs with an average package of about 10-12 lakhs per annum. There are some exceptional cases where students have even bagged offers as high as 1.8 crores! I’m looking forward to internships in my third year, which should give me a clearer picture of the salary potential.

The in-hand salary for B.Des graduates from DTU varies widely, so it's better to talk about a range rather than an average. A single high package can skew the average significantly!

• There are students at DTU who have landed placements in crores, while others have packages as low as 3–4 lakhs.
• For instance, in 2017, the highest package from the CSE department was over a crore from Uber. The lowest package that year was around 3–4 lakhs.
• Most students fall somewhere in between this range (3 lakhs - 1 crore+).
• Some even secured packages between 20 lakhs to 39 lakhs within India.

From a fuccha perspective, the placement stats presented are quite impressive! Almost everyone gets placed, and the record is better than the rival NSUT, just saying. Placements at DTU typically range from around 5–7 lacs to 30–35 lacs (this is what I've heard from a few seniors). On average, a student from the top branches (no offense to other branches) can expect around 12–15 lacs if a decent CGPA is maintained. Analyzing past placement stats, the average placement at DTU outshines some of the big reputed colleges.

NOTE: Don't solely focus on admission for placements! Enjoy your college life without fixating on the package. Eventually, you will take your job home. ????
