JEE Advanced Result 2024: IIT Kanpur Declares the Continuation of Bright Minds Scholarship for the toppers of JEE Advanced 2024

Upon releasing the JEE Advanced Result 2024 today, IIT Kanpur congratulates the outstanding performers. To support this commendable achievement, IIT Kanpur declares the continuation of Bright Minds Scholarship for the top 100 Rank holders. Special recognition has been given to the AIR 1 rank holder Ved Lahoti and AIR 7 rank holder Dwija Dharmesh Kumar Patel (Topped among females) through the official press release of IIT Kanpur.

Professor Manindra Agarwal, Director of IIT Kanpur addressed the topper’s achievement as a ‘significant milestone’. He also added,” IIT Kanpur’s ‘Bright Minds Scholarships’ is our commitment to support and nurture the brightest minds in the country, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder your academic journey. As you embark on this journey into the world of science, engineering, and technology, we at IIT Kanpur look forward to guiding and supporting you in your pursuit of excellence”.

  • A former alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Lokvir Kapoor, introduced this scholarship in 2021 to support deserving students in the IIT echo system.
  • All sorts of expenses will be covered under this prestigious scholarship programme. Toppers will be granted INR 3 lakh rupees for the 2024 academic year.

IIT Kanpur: What is Bright Mind Scholarship?

Bright Mind Scholarship provides 10 prestigious academic scholarships to students who seek admission to B.Tech and BS courses at IIT Kanpur. The eligible candidates will be given financial assistance of INR 3 lakh rupees for the academic year 2024. Furthermore, students who will be able to maintain a CPI of 8.0 throughout the year will be awarded 4 years of scholarship programme.

JEE Advanced Result 2024: Toppers from IIT Kanpur Zone

This year around 21,169 candidates appeared in JEE Advanced 2024. Among them, 4,926 students qualified successfully. Last year, 4582 students qualified for the JEE Advanced examination. This year, the number of total qualified candidates increased by 344. Manya Jain has emerged as a top performer in JEE Advanced 2024 from Kanpur zone who managed to secure All India Rank 75. A List of top five performers from Kanpur will be presented below in tabulated form.

Note: No candidates from the Kanpur zone have managed to take place in the top 10 list, while Manya Jain has managed to occupy a place in the top 100 list with AIR 75 rank.

JEE Advanced Result 2024: Which Zone has Maximum Toppers?

IIT Madras has maximum number of toppers and majority of rank holders within top 10 are from this zone. AIR 3 rank holder Bhogalapalli Sandesh is also from this zone. Moreover 25 candidates have successfully managed to take place in the top 100 list. Similarly some of 53 candidates have occupied a place within the top 200 list.

From IIT Guwahati, only one student managed to take place in the top 100 list and 2458 students cracked the exam. No students from the Guwahati zone are within the top 10.

Note: The application fee for foreign nationals from SAARC countries is USD 75 while for candidates who belong to Non-SAARC countries, the application fee is USD 150. Indian Nationals (including PIO/OCI) who have chosen exam centers outside India, have to pay USD 75 as the application fee.
