Dr. Pankaj Pratap Singh has an impressive educational background, having completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering (B.E.) and Master's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Intelligent Systems (M.Tech.) from IIIT Allahabad. He further pursued his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee. His contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards and honors. He served as a Guest Editor for a Special Issue on "Biomedical Signal and Imaging Trends and Artificial Intelligence Developments" in the INDERSCIENCE JOURNAL "International Journal of Computational Systems Engineering" in 2016-17. Moreover, he was invited as a panel expert on "Tomorrow's Edge: Driving Digital Equality in the Digital Age," organized by The Guild in association with VMware in Guwahati, India, in August 2018. Furthermore, he has served as an External Practical Examiner for the software system lab for M.Tech. (CSE) first semester at the Department of CSE, Sobhasaria Engineering College, Sikar (Rajasthan) in May 2009.

What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/dept. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

We have proposed a new program at the PG level in Data Science that will meet the requirements of AI, IOT, cyber security, and other recent trends. It will start in the next session.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt?

In this program, students will become specialized in the area of Data science, which is indeed relevant for today's industry in NLP, Robotics, and multimedia forensics.

What would you say are the “best practices” in the course you’re offering?

In this program, the best practice is for the students to understand the concept and also go through the hands-on practice with some related project work.

What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at your institute/dept.?

In this program, students should have a strong mathematical background and programming skills.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

On the basis of regular performance evaluations and their participation in online competition programs, this can help in a better manner.

How did you train yourself to deliver this program to the students?

We are already in the teaching profession and have also attended some FDPs and workshops to keep aware of the recent trends in technologies that can help us successfully run this proposed program.

How do you tend to build an industry connect with this program? 

In this program, students will become specialists in the area of Data Science with their completed projects. As per the signed MoU, the alumni connection will connect them to the industry.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program in your curriculum?

During the preparation of this program, faculties are trained with this specialized program as per the course structure. Lab facilities are also developing for this program.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

In this program, students can work on language processing, image processing, block chain, IOT, Robotics, machine learning, and multimedia forensics.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

After completing this program, students will have a wide scope in the business, IT, and research sectors as an analyst, programmers, and scientists.
