Gauhati University PhD Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Ph.D. admission at Gauhati University, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates).
- Candidates with UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, JRF, GATE, SLET, or equivalent fellowships will be given preference.
- Foreign applicants must fulfill equivalence criteria as per UGC norms.
- Professionals with significant research experience may apply under the Professional/Non-Academic category.
