BTech in Industrial Engineering is a four-year graduate course that imparts crucial knowledge about manufacturing and designing processes of various industrial machinery and tools. The course consists of 8 semesters spanning four years and an internship opportunity to solidify the learning process of the course program.

Campus Life

My experinace with campus life at IIT KGP has been extremely enriching and vibrant.The campus atmosphere is energetic, diverse and full of opportunities to grow academically, personally, and socially. The thing I like most is in college you surely learn how to communicate and learns skills of time management. IIT KGP hosts some of the biggest festivals in India. Spring Fest, the cultural festival held in early new year.Kshitij, the annual Tech fest held around JAn - Feb. THE central linbrary is amoung the best in the country, offering a massive collection of books,jornals, reserach publications, digital resources,and online academic databases. It provides access to national and international publications, making it an excellent place for self- learning and research activities. Classrooms are equipped with modern teaching technology. Sports and extracurricular activities are a very imporyant part of campus life. IIT KGP offers world class sports facilities including atehletics tracks ,swimming pools and multiple corts for different spirtsnoutdoor and indoor both are included. There are nu merous student run clubs and socities that cover a wide range of interstes in Tech and cultral activities.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very good and, and most professors are approchable and supportive. One faculty I admire most is Kamalakashy Sir. His eaching style is extremely clear and student friendly.His classrooms sessions are interactive, and make students mindset to think logically and approach problem analytically, which really helps in building a strong academic foundation. While every professor has a different teaching style, some course fell a bit fast-pased and some professors are strict in every part of course but they are only strict to make student sincere. There are two exams per semester as end sem and mid sem and two class-test and weitage of each are 50%,30%,20% respectively. Mostly all students get passed and no one fails except few(4-5) who never attend class and are not serious in academics.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for students admitted through JEE Advanced varies by category and family income. For General,EWS,OBC-NCL students with family income above 5 lakh rupees per annum, the tution fe is 1 lakh per semester, along with other compulsory charges like registratiom,examination,internet,gymkhana,laboratory, hostel rent, electrucity/water , hall establishment, hostel overheaf,hall budget, and mess charges. In the 1st year, one time fees such as caution deposits, alumni subscription, etc fees are also paid bringing the total first year cost around 3.77 lakh. From the second year onwards, without one time charges the annual cost is about 2.6 lakh. For UR/EWS/OBC_NCL students with income between 1lakh and 5 lakh, the tution fee is reduced to 33.33k per semester. And for income below 1 lakh the tution fee is zero. Merit cum scholorships are availble which gives tution fee waiver along with 12k per annum for income below 6 lakh

The no of faculties are decent.. but the number of faculties in BS programmes are relatively lower compared to iit madras. My departmental professors are mostly nice. Most of them are approachable. In first year the courses would be mostly common and some of those classes wont be that good. There are 2 exams in a semester one in med and another at the end and there will be 2 tests also. Life as a CETian

Fees are usually paid in a semester wise scheme. Each semester, we have to pay the university examination fee for each subject to be able to write the subject, the lab fees were around 500 for each lab. In total it ranges from 5k to 9k each semester. There's additional sports fee, building fee etc, 500 each for some semesters. Reserved Categories have some reduction in fees.

The faculty to student ratio is less. Some of the faculty are approachable and friendly but there are some faculty members that are not at all approachable. Industrial department faculty is generally on the approachable side. There are two series examinations before the final university examination. They are of moderate difficulty and students clear them.

Campus placements are better than other colleges, still as a whole it is decreasing for B.Tech course,i don't know why,besides we have so many technical clubs and library facilities which can increase our potential, so its depend upon us to get placed from this competitive world. And from outside, there are so many opportunities as well,off campus interviews are there for those who didn't get placements

My course is industrial engineering, and i am very well satisfied with the course,i entered after neet repeat, so i really wanted this type of course,i donot prefer more technical study,thatswhy i took industrial, its a combination of tech and management, after completion you can work as business data analyst, quality manager,etc..and yes placements also good,we can sit for both core and IT companies.

My College Review

Fees to be paid per year is around Rs.9000. Including examination and tution fees. Registration fee was around 8000. And I donot recieve any scholarships and financial aids at the moment. I am not aware about any other scholarships.

There are plenty of technical fests and cultural fests in our college along with department fest also. The main technical feat is Drishti and cultural fest is Dhwani. Both the fests are well celebrated fest of South India.

The facukties are all well educated with high profiles. They are quite knowledgeable and teaches well. All the professors may not be to your liking but I can say that they are well versed in there subjects. The exam are conducted strictly and a simple schedule of study can save us from failing.

The course is having great career opportunities if we have skills and a thorough content knowledge in the subject. The exams are conducted regularly to evaluate. We have 2 internals and a Semester exam. We are given assignments to write eveey now and then to evaluate our knowledge on th topic.

students become eligible from 3rd yr starting campus placements internships provided from 2nd yr all A tier companies in each domain come to IIT kgp to recruit IITians highest package goes around 2cr+ and average around 12-15lpa some students try to build a startup or pursue further studies like master mba or upsc so they also dont need a job almost 70-80% sit in placement percentage of students getting placement is 70-80% sitting in placement companies like big 3 come for finance and some banking companies also come like axis band icici bank also companies related to IT software come apple google microsoft quant companies also come during placement period some of the core compaineis related to each dep come all prestigious big companies MNCs come my plans after getting the degree i dont know. i focus on present and learning new skills and building networks and enjoying my life. job isnt a necessity i want to break this misconception of coming to IIT just for job and having a CDC

Kshitij Shaurya and Spring fest are major fests conducted annually by iit kgp.kshitij is annual tech fest. shaurya is annual sports fest and spring fest is annual social and curricular fest. the library is asia's largest library with lots of books and space to hold students inside.there are lots of AC and non ac rooms in library where students can study. also during exams library is opened 24/7 so students can study anytime.the classrooms are air conditioned with projectors and a pc through which proffs can show ppts and slides also there are lots of blackboards for proff to solve the eqns.sports include football basketball squash badminton lawn tennis table tennis badminton cricket hockey athletics. there are extra curricular activities like music and health and fitness yoga and social service. there are lots of societies and clubs in iit kgp there are 2 types of clubs tech and socult socult inclueds comc drama and dance tech has business and robotics club

The College of Engineering Trivandrum is the prestigious instituition in kerala. Admission process is done through KEAM entrance examination conducted by cee every year. Fee for general merit students will be less than 10000 every year. This year it was 9650(Tuition FEE) When you get into college during admission process amount of pta and bus fund should be paid everything is less than 20000. Hostel facility is also provided by the college based on the distance and income of the students family. other pg facilities and private hostels are available nearby. Egrantz is the main scholarship offered by college and the family income should be less than 1 lakh per annum. For SC ST it can vary to lower fees less than the above mentioned. Student friendly campus with HIGH PLACEMENTS RAGGING FREE CAMPUS so many cultural programmes and freedom NIRF RANKING BTW 100-150 No 1 college preffered by top rankers in keam exam. First of all, the year-wise fees paid by anyone are kept optimal in the system. Apart from that, there are many grants and scholarships for those who are unable to afford the fee structure. As mentioned earlier, the fees paid varies radnomnly. Some pay Rupees 1,00,000 per year. And meanwhile, some even pay Rupees 3,00,000 per year. So, as said before, the fees amount varies from individual to individual. The breakdown of the fees is quite random. It changes dynamically each semester. The tuition fees is generally about Rupees 1,00,000 per semester. The rest of the cost is adjusted in the left amount. The fees for batchmates who have availed the grants through category or scholarship are considerably lower. There are many modes and amounts of scholarships or financial aids that are available for students. They are merit cum need. The campus life is very active in KGP. There are many societies, clubs, and cells. Festivals, events, concerts, etc. Annual fests are - Spring Fest, Kshitij, Optima, etc. They are held from January to March. KGP central library is one of the largest. It also has a plethora of books in digital library. Currently, I am pusuing a 4-yr B.Tech degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Relevance and Comprehesiveness: The curriculam of this course at IIT Kharagpur covers essential subhects such as Operations Research, Suplly Chain Management, and Optimisation Techniques, preparing students for real- world industrail challenges. Areas for Improvement: Enhancing inderdisiplinary aspects, increasing industry collaboration, and emphasising soft skills developemnet could enrich the curriculum. Exam difficulty: Varies according to subjects but all of them generally aim to assess theoritical understanding, probelm-solving skills, and practical applications. IIT Kharagpur: Unleashed from scratch

The faculty to student ratio is good. Also the faculties are supportive and they open up a method by which we can contact them easily. For instance, some profs have shared their number or others are active on gmails or microsoft teams. I liked a prof named Aurobindo Raut Ray, who teaches us Basic Electrical Engineering. He is proficient in his subject and we get a first hand knowledge from him as he had also assisted people involved in the field in real lige industries. There are two main exams - mid sem and end sem. Besides there are class tests, regular tutorial sheets which we have to submit to the teaching assistant then on basis of which there is also marks. They are a bit difficult but can be managed. Almost all the students perform well in these exams. The course curriculum is best as it has also insights from real life industries that what they want as a industry. This makes the course very relevant in todays world.

The fees which I will be paying for this semester only is about 1,56,750 rupees. It includes tuition fees of Rs. 1,00,000. Caution fees is Rs. 6000, which include institute , library and hostel caution fees. It has lab fees of Rs. 800. During registration by JOSAA counseling it is mandatory to pay a seat acceptance fees of Rs. 35000 this year. This registration fees is adjusted in the total fees. The hall establishment fees is Rs. 20130 and the mess fees is 14,500. For a person of SC/ST category or PwD, the tuition fees is waived. Also for UR/EWS/OB-NCL students if the annual income of the family is between 1 to 5 lakhs, 33% of tuition fees will be required and if the annual income is less than 1 lakh the whole tuition fees will be waived. There is a merit-cum scholarship by which 25% students can get sum of Rs. 1000/ month.

IIT KHARAGPUR-HONEST REVIEW

Majorly I would say the double major was the best thing that influenced me to join here and also I was getting the department of Industrial and Systems engineering which is a circuital branch that helps up in opening many new oppotunities in internships and placements.The scope of the department and the courses they are offering also was a major part which helped me to take this department. This year they also introduced AI/ML courses for the students of all the departments so that they could keep up with the pace of the advancements in technology. Exams are normally once in a month.

I will pay about 3lakh rupees as the fee which includes the hostel and mess fee combined. The general candidates need to pay all the fee but for SC/ST candidates there will be no tuition fee . There are also fee waivers like if family income is less than 1 lakh per annum then you will get 100% tuition fee waiver and if the family income is between 1 and 5 lakh per annum we need to pay only 1/3rd of tuition fee which amounts to 33333 rupees per semester. There are also various meritcum need scholarships which are funded by various alumni including Mr.Vinod Gupta.

CET in a nutshell

The campus life in CET is something you will never get from any colleges in India. CET is a very technically, culturally and politically active college which hosts many cultural and technical programs throughout the year. CET has primarily 3 Main programs ie, DISHA- an interdepartment festival for First years so they can Icebreak and get along with each other well. DRISHTI - The annual tech fest which hosts many competitions and programs along with pro shows. DHWANI- The annual cultural fest of our college. CET is the only government college in Kerala that hosts separate Technical and Cultural fest like in IITs and NITs. Classrooms are occupied with projectors and speakers and also have very good seating facilities. Sports and Games are very well in the college and we have College teams for most of the games. Every evening the ground will be filled by groups of students doing their physical activities and games Unlike other universities our college is very politically active.

Placements in CET is pretty neat. And will be varied according to the tides in the corporate world. Students can sit for on-campus placement by the end of the Sixth Semester.Off campus have no restrictions. There is a dedicated Career Guidance and Placement Unit in our college which works solely for the placements of the students. In 2020-2021 CET had a record placement of 650+ offers from 100+ Companies. Even during the global job crisis times we had around 400 offers from 50+ companies Companies like Amazon,IBM,CRED,CISCO,TISMO,Texas Instruments,Air India,MRF,L&T,Royal Enfield, Hundai,Microchip, SHOBHA Developers,Saint Gobaintec and many other companies has came for placements this year. Around 60% students are placed this year even though the placement is less in all colleges across India. The highest package for this year is 33 lakh for Texas Instruments and average package is around 4 Lakh to 5 Lakh.

The campus life of this college is impeccable. The various clubs both technical and non technical helps a person to find their true passion and help them grow towards it. Sports also has alot of participation and exposure that helps the student to develop in their own respective areas.

CET - explore yourself in your dream college

The curriculum is well formed . In the first year they give a rough knowledge about various fields of engineering so that if u get interested in a certain one u can further study more of it on your own. From the 3rd semester your core hits in. You'll start studying more about ur own field of study which would be the best part since its actually interesting if you took the course liking it. And from the first year onwards they'll start preparing you to the placements like speaking skills needed etc. The curriculum is wide sometimes I feel like more practical knowledge would be fine. They also conduct exams almost every month . The series exm they conduct are usually hard compared to the semester exams which makes it easy for the semester exams.

We are having 2 staff advisors and senior staff advisors. These faculties take absolute care of us. Also all the other faculties here are expertise on their subjects . Those trs that have pure passion towards the subject. So they are always there for all the students and teaches so well.clears all the doubts from the classroom itself also provides guidance. We can approach them any time ask them all doubts . They would clarify them so perfectly and if not find us the best person to clarify them.we can also approach them anytime . They are always kind enough to help us .

Faculty present in this college are those who have high qualifications and skills , as it is the best college in this state and more over its a government college. So the faculty present must be highly skilled and examination are there for their allotment. Professors are so friendly and kind hearted, helps us in all possible ways

As i am doing first yesr i dont have much knowledge on this thing but i can assure you that i have chosen this college based on its history and placement offers through out these years. Monthly one exam are conducted and this result is taken as internal mark.

Till now i had peaceful campus life. we can two big fests Spring fest and kshitij , where SF is our SOCULT fest and KTJ is our TECH fest . They occur in the month of january every year. Most of the colleges participate and earn price money. we have biggest library in our college which is biggest in asia and we have lots of books and digital library . We have big ground to play oudoor games and lots of socities wherre we interact and improve personality development . we have GC and Interiit where we showcase our talents in huge scale

We have good curriculum which is perfectly scheduled and we have all aspects of involvement. we are equipped with good labs and we have projects which help to develop our challenge facing ability to the real world problems . Our projects are designed in a way where we have to apply knowledge of our learning. Our assesment is done based on mid sem and end sem our exam level is moderate and we can crack exam if we study and go to the classes

We have two annual fest one is SF and other tech fest is KTJ. SF is the biggest SOCULT fest and KTJ is the Tech fest of IIT kharagpur . we have biggest library in the asia where all the resources can be accessed and digital library to access the new updates. We have good digital labs for real time projects , we have 20+ societies to learn personality development and many clubs, cells and we have General championship in all fields , we have biggest ground for sports .

IIT kharagpur have good placement comparing the other colleges , CDC conducts the Internships and placements, Any student who study last year of their curriculum can participate in the placements. Highest package is around 2 cr and average package is around 17 lakhs. 70 percent of student got placement last year those who got interns they get ppo's in that company. i want to get IT job in the MNC
