Likes

Vibrant campus with lots of cultural diversity. Students from all over Kerala are coming to this college to gather the best education they can. Each of them teach us different lessons on how to live In a society.
The fests both cultural and technical gives alot of exposure
Quality of education is high since higher keam ranks are the cut off

Dislikes

Ktu syllabus the college is under is outdated
Stray dogs are a growing concern that might be a harm for students
Infrastructure is old but sufficient but it could use improvement

The curriculum is based on ktu . And it's outdated. There are many subjects that are unrelated to the major we are doing. It's a highly adverse problem that affects the students time and learning experience.

There are many internship opportunities given by various companies along with alumni support cet is an evergrowing hub for excellence where students can learn and Excel . Companies like Infosys,TCS , cognizant,tiger analytics are some of the companies that give us the internships

Placement Experience

Placements are high in cet . Many companies like Infosys, cognizant,TCS, Texas instruments,UST global, Mercedes offer various levels jobs and internships. The average would be 7Lpa and highest ranging upto 32Lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 10000 / yr including all the tution . There are various levels of scholarships available to deservable students. Both private and government schemes with necessary exams are cross checking to provide the ones that truly need the scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus life of this college is impeccable. The various clubs both technical and non technical helps a person to find their true passion and help them grow towards it. Sports also has alot of participation and exposure that helps the student to develop in their own respective areas.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good. With good infrastructure and basic facilities. Ample amount of freedom and the environment really helps a child to grow and be self independent in the outside world. The food is also good.

Admission

The admission is based on keam exam. Kerala engineering entrance exam. Inorder to be eligible you need a minimum pass mark. And to get into cet you need atleast a min cut off of 1700 rank for Circuit branches and 5k for non circuit branches.

Faculty

The faculties are highly qualified graduated from iits, nits with years of experience . They teach us with wisdom and help the students with the problems they face. The ratio is high that is a small problem

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
