Likes
- environment. there are lot of trees and plants. every morning and evening we can here the chirping of birds and we get fresh air. it is such a calm climate and each department has its own garden and trees that provide different fruits.
- Near to each department there are canteen like stalls available for students to take sip of tea and chat. we have a park like place which is named as gazebo for the students to take a group discussion or doing projects or chatting.
- In front of college there are lot of shope which we can easily access. every necessary items are available there and we dont have to travel more. near to college itself we have temple mosque and church
Dislikes
- some of the teachers are not doing their job correctly and gives more stress to students and even some of them doesnt concider about the students mental stability or emotions
- Dogs..there are lot of lot of dogs in our campus. they are soo annoying and in the classes also they are coming early in the morning and took the first seat . even students are late comers but these dogs are not. Every night they bark so loudly.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is not at all a vast syllabus. But there is a lot more to study in btech. In each semester we have to do a course project based on our core sublects and in sixth semester we have mini project and in sixth semester itself we have to complete it. And in seventh semester the main project starts and final evaluation will be in eighth semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships at cet are available for students from the third year and fourth year, some departments also encouraging second year students to apply for short term training programs. Many students secure internships in top companies like TCS, Wipro, Bosch, L&T etc.
Placement Experience
The placements start in the end of sixth semester and college will provide training foe the placxements. if we didnt get placements dont worry., because even after we pass out we can attent the placements for next 2 years also which is off campus placement. There are 3 slabs of placement in slab 1 is up to 6 lpa but not 6 lpa. slab 2 is in between 6 lpa and 15 lpa. slab 3 is above 15 lpa which is a dream company. A person who got placed in core company is not eligible to apply for placements offering lpa in slab 1 and slab 2. but can sit in dream company
Fees and Financial Aid
since i have egrantz i pay no fees. But the non eligible students cost around 10000 per year. in each semester we have to pay an amount equal to 3500 for tution fees and an amount in between 1800 to 3000 for the exam registration. Other than that we have to pay the college hostel fees which is not compulsory for a student who was eligible for egrantz scholarship. if the hostel mess charge is greater than 3500 we have to pay the amount. oyherwise we dont have to pay the amount.
Campus Life
There are so many clubs in our college to enhance the students skill and teachers are also very supportive. Biggest college fest was in our college which is dwani and drishti. Drishti is the biggest tech fest in kerala. We have many sport activities. We have the biggest college providing so many books articles and even e books also. We have so many reading rooms in the library. Each and every department has its own department library with a reading room fecility
Hostel Facilities
There are 3 buildings for womens hostel. old block new block and diamond jubilee block. In most the rooms 3 persons can accomodate and some for 4 peoples. in new block they provide lift. Food was cooked in mess and is just average. There are wifi connections in each and evary corries. Now they provide 3 washing mechine for inmates to wash clothes. There is a fecility for gym,library and reading room. Atleast 4 bathrooms and toilets for each and every corrie. Every year they conduct LH Day parties. Average mess bill was 3500. For students having egrants no need to pay the amount up to 3500 and above that it should be paid.
Admission
I have completed diploma and there after i can directly join in to second year of btech through lateral entry examnination. In electronics and communication department there are only 6 seats available for lateral entry students. i got 3rd rank in the examination department wise and i can easily get in to this college.
Faculty
They are so many guest lectures and even they taking the class so nicely and efficiently but the experienced professers just came to the class and say some bla bla things and give more stress to students. these teachers doesnt even give internal marks. Each semester we have two series exam and it will descide our internal marks. there are 8 semesters and end of each semester there is public examination.
Night Life
College is open up to 9.30 pm. Till 9.30 we can use the library. Sometimes clubs or any parties will conduct fests or party like functions in our college itsself. Prom night is a celebrating party conducted by any clubs during valentines day. similary sulaimani night. We are free to walk around the college and departments.
