Most of the Government scholarships are not available while studying this course as this is a self financing department. However college provides financial aid for students in necessity. Tuition fee reimbursement is available for resrved category studenta as per the govt. Rules. In the last semester of the course there are various placement drives that provides students the opportunity to get placed after completion of the course.

The College is affiliated to Mahathma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The course name is B A English Literature, Communication and Journalism (Model III)(Triple Main). The course gives equal importance to the three fields and provides the expertise needed. The curriculum should focus some more on improving the english speaking skills of the students. The Exams and other internal analysis methods are comfortable for students. The course helps to come out of the shell and deal with our inhibitions in facing crowd and camera

Campus Life:

Life at RBGC campus was a bit boring because all the activities to keep us busy was either preparing chart representing a topic of social/cultural interest making projects or getting ready for the weekly tests. Sports activities were there to break the monotony amidst studies because bunking classes and mass absence were considered a huge crime under the college premises. The faculty also took great pride in maintaining a regular file of good students who used to hold a place of honours through their academic records and sane presence in all the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I still feel proud today that I joined this college where absolutely no politics was involved, daily routine was followed regarding studies and annual parent-teacher meetings were held. The faculty was a class apart and always helpful whenever any doubts were there to be cleared. Practically I didn't need any turions after college hours although communicative English is a new subject to me. That's why I achieved 1st class throughout my 3 years of degree studies all thanks to the faculty here.

Right now we haven't yet visited any company for placement since I am a third year student and it's going to be a while till we get to do all that. But yes, we did get to go at Malayalam Manorama, a television news entertainment channel, which was extremely helpful since we got to understand how a news agency works. Since our teachers have taken graduation from esteemed colleges of India such as EFLU, Stella, MCC etc, their job referrals and networks do come in handy.

The activities are an integral part of the college. Right from the Mahatma Gandhi University youth festival to events like Teresian week, everyone gets to showcase their talent on stage or off stage. Being an immensely active and enthusiastic team, the college also got an opportunity to host the country's biggest youth festival- Under25, which was hosted really well, leaving everyone happy.
