Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Communicative English is easy, but the work that comes with it is challenging. Challenging is good if you have the mind for it and if you put in work. However, if not, it is better you go for a more stress-free course.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many internship opportunities in college, and good placements as well provided by the college. Regarding the internships, you need to be fast in registering for good ones. Also, the college makes it their priority to check if whether the internship is worth it or if it is a scam which is a good thing and what I like the most about the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fees depend on the course you choose. For my course, for the 1st year I had paid around ?88000, now in my second year fees have to be paid in installments, which leads to the total of ?80000 There are many scholarships provided by the college which are very useful.

Campus Life

3

There are many clubs and associations which you can join. All which provide you with a unique experience and fun as well. We have tons of events in college which are very exciting and you can have a fun time.

Admission

St Joseph's was not my first preference, however I chose it because I heard from my friends and family that it is a good college with a good reputation. I initially wanted to go to St Xaviers in Mumbai, but I got selected here first and I could not wait anymore.

Faculty

4.5

Vj Ma'am, Arul Mani sir and Nikhita Ma'am, from the English Department are the best. You can talk to them about anything - studies, life, anything really and they will guide you and help you in the best way possible.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.

Fee structure. The college's reputation was approachable. When I got in touch with the alumni, I got a pleasing review. The good part is, whatever I have heard, it came out true. I have had a great experience of all the three years.

There is still a lot that the college campuses could learn and be better but apparently it is ? that there isn't anyone to work on it. There is always that littoe politics I have seen everywhere. I wish the college be much much better and hope it does in near future.

The only negative thing is our college is super strict in attendance factor. If we don't have 75 percentage of attendance, it will be a year back. There is no compromise on that. According to me, it will have to make 60 percentage.
