Course Curriculum Overview
The course has 3 main components litreature, communicative English and journalism. The curriculum has internship and assignments that compliments each main components. The main thing that attracted me was how many opportunities that the course provide and help my career.
Placement Experience
From fifth semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. A Large variety of companies ranging from Acenture to Federal Bank vist our college each year. The package is from 30k to 60k depending upon your performance. My plan after degree is to get placed in one of those companies and kick start my career.
Fees and Financial Aid
The BA English Litreature, Communication and Journalism course provoded by Assumption College Changanasherry is an excellent course that can help you to achive many opportunities in various fields. The entire course is divide into six semesters and each semester is 16,000 rs. This is a self finance course.
Campus Life
Assumption is well know for the celebrations. We have departmental fest that are conducted by each departments. There is an annual sports meet for the students. We have a very good library facility in the campus that have a large accessibility of books. There are smart class facilities for every departments. There are many clubs for students.
Admission
Assumption college was one of the first women's college in kerala. It has a long and prosperous legacy. Assumption provide the most placement opportunities than that of other colleges and Assumption is one of the few colleges that provide this course.
Faculty
The faculty members are really amazing each and every teachers are friendy and are very passionate to their subjects. They help students with the subjects. My favorite teacher in Karthika Prasad who is a very passionate teacher who make sure everyone is comfortable and understanding. There are 2 internal exams in one sem and i annual sem exam at the end of each semester. 80% of the students pass the exam
Night Life
There are gym, cafeterias and library inthe college there are 5 hostels and tge times are from 9am to 2pm. The college is inthe heart of Changanasherry which gives access all the necessary things that is needed. Changanasherry is filled with culture and history. The railway station, bus station all are near and is really safe for students. Kottayam is the near by town wich has a vide range of shopping accessibility.
