Kerala Kalamandalam is a training center and conducts the performance of classical arts and was established by poet Vallathol Narayana Menon and Munkadaraja in 1930 in Thrissur, Kerala. It is a UGC recognized university offering Arts and Culture courses. The college provides BA, MA, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in the field of Cultural and Performing arts. Kerala Kalamandalam has Departments of Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kuttiyattam, Mridangam, Chenda, Karnatic Music, Malayalam, English, and Sanskrit.
