- In the year 2005, the college was awarded the R. Sankar Award for the best private special grade college in the state adjudged by Government of Kerala.

The following steps need to be followed in order to apply at Union Christian College, Aluva
- Candidates need to go the official website - http://cap.mgu.ac.in/
- They need to click on UG CAP 2024/ PG CAP 2024 and then on Registration.
- Next, the required details are to be filled in.
- The candidates will then be provided a registration ID and password which shall be used for further log in.

UCC, Aluva Scholarships
To provide financial assistance to students, Union Christian College provides various scholarships. These are:
- Dr. P.C. Alexander Scholarship- The Annual interest of the amount of Rs. 600 which was donated by H.E. Dr. P. C Alexandar, Governor of Maharashtra will be used for the award of scholarships to eligible students.
- P. G. Nair Memorial Fellowship- Interest which is accrued annually from an endowment of Rs. 11,00,000/- shall be used to provide Fellowship to brilliant Malayalam research scholars.
- Loan Scholarships –Under this scheme an interest shall be available on the endowed capital every year. Students need to execute a bond that the loan shall be repaid after they start earning.
- Liberty Loan Scholarship Allocation for the current year- Rs. 10,000.00
- Trinity loan scholarship from Madapad, Alummootil Foundation Allocation for the current year- Rs. 5,300.00
- Vidawan P.G.Nair Loan Scholarship- Rs. 10,600.00
- Dr. Alexander Zachariah Loan Scholarship- Rs. 1,400.00
- Kulangara Scholarship – Under this scheme there are 6 scholarships of Rs. 2000/- each in which there shall be one each for the second year BA and B.Sc., third year BA and B.Sc. and second year MA and M.Sc. classes. The selection of students for the scholarship shall be done on the basis of merit and need in consultation with the scholarship committee constituted by the college staff council.
- Kano Yamomoto Scholarship- This scholarship is given to students selected on the basis of merit cum means by a committee. It is given from the interest of the amount gifted by Prof. Kano Yamomoto of International Christian University, Tokyo, through the UBCHEA.
- National Loan Scholarships- This scholarship is given to Indian nationals to all courses after Matriculation of SSLC leading to 1st degree post- graduate and for post MA/ M.Sc. stages.
- Government of India Scholarships to the students from non-Hindi speaking States. It is awarded strictly on the basis of merit.

UCC, Aluva Facilities
To cater to the needs of the students and the staff, Union Christian College, Aluva offers a wide variety of facilities. These are:
- Library: To cater to the educational needs of the community, Union Christian College has a library fully automated with international software Alice for Windows which has been networked with all the teaching departments. It also has a digital library developed with Greenstone software containing educational resources for the teachers and students. Work has been going on to establish another spacious library at the campus.
- Kid’s Dale Day Care Centre: As a facility to the young teachers with small children, union Christian College has a kid’s day centre where children spend their time by singing, dancing, playing, colouring, eating and sleeping. Small school going children shall also be allowed to play there after their school hours.
- BLISS Counselling Centre: A Counselling Centre has been established to cater to the growing psychological needs of the student community. It provides services to the students, teachers and nonteaching staff free of cost while a nominal fee is charged for providing services to people from outside UC College community. It provides psychological assessment, Counselling, Life skills training, Study skills training, Awareness Programs and Conducting Surveys.
- Health Services: Union Christian College, Aluva provides valuable health services through Always Rural Medical Mission Hospital.
- Hostels: Union Christian College has five Women’s hostels and one Men’s hostel. These are East Hostel, West Hostel, Skinner Hostel, T. B. Thomas Hostel and C. T. Benjamin Hostel.
- Centre for the Study of Religion and Society (CSRS): CSRS was established with a view to create dialogue among people of different religions and ideologies to foster better understanding and tolerance.

I got my dream college. Which I applied my 1st option. I didn't get any rejection from any of the colleges which I applied. In my opinion UC is way better than other colleges. We should pass the plus two examination is the eligibility for the course admission. I did face any difficulty in the admission process. The college faculty and students will help us.
Likes
- Our college is not all providing and promoting any type of spoon feeding activities.
- They guide and helps us by making ourselves good in for not relying on others.
Dislikes
- Poor infrastructure of the campus is unsatisfying.
- Partiality among students and teachers inside the campus.
Admission:
The fees structure of the college was affordable and they offered a better learning experience. That's why I choose this college. I haven't get any rejection because this was the only college i opted for.
Likes
- The college ambience is so perfect for a student to study things. Rich in greenary and pleasent feeling.
- This college provides various sports and each sports have separate courts and separate trainers and training sessions.
Dislikes
- Political parties in this college create chaos to the management even though it is somehow beneficial for the students.
- Drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. Even though there are committees to control drug usage, some students use drugs, smoke and drink alcohol inside campus.
Admission:
As Union Christian College Aluva is a highly reputed college, it considers students with high qualifications and grades. There are seats reservations for Sc/St categories and other different categories. The application process and allotment process may take some time as it is not directly done by the college, application process are run by Mahatma Gandhi University.
Dislikes
- the administrative progress could be a bit more improved so that the desicion makings can be done quickly
- the college could work on more infrasrtuctural growth although the current one is decent

the eligibility of the course is 12th pass. A student who wishes to join this course is recommended to have a basic knowledge in sports field.. applications can be co;lected either offline or online once the application processes start. reservations are present for backward communities and other quotas are available too bases on cultural and sports abilities

- The very first thing I like about my college is its campus. Our campus very eco friendly and the good politics which could'nt find in any other colleges.
- The faculty's in my college is very good and teachers often didn't spoon feed which is a good thing they encourage us students to make use of the libraby more efficienly.
Dislikes
- I think in some departments we don't have enough class rooms

Admission process was not that much bad or difficult. I got admission through merit and in 3rd alllotment. Admission processes first process was to apply online for which courses we need and the colleges we need. The only think that is a bit problem is we needed to apply separately for different universities which is a bit money draining.

- Qualified faculties and laboratories and research centres are well equipped.
Dislikes
- Class rooms are not that well facilitated
- Eventhough it's a green campus but it's not neat that much

There is no entrance exam in UCC.Admisssion process are through mgu cap.Management and community, cultural seats are through college site . Eligibility:one should have passed thier 12th .Other eligibility criteria depends on the course you choose.One thing to say Union Christian College is the college which recieve maximum application in mg University.Its very hard to get into UCC.

- Campus is so green and so close to nature. Surrounded by many trees, animals and birds.Its a beautiful place
- Canteen food is great at an affordable price as same to homely food.Also the snacks and tea is to die for.
Dislikes
- Classes are from 9 am to 3.30 pm , i personally think they can change timings
- Attendence is a big issue.
Admission:
Admission process was speedy. I entered through merit and my first preference was union christian college and in the trial run itself i got in. Then i came to college with essential documents , enrolled in. Talked to my teachers of bcom and they gave me all essential details. One can enter through merit if you got above 90 percent others can enroll through management seats, donations vary according to the person who is recommending you. You can find applications online through official website of campus. And there also seats in community quota.

- They can add more books in the library, mainly story books
- They can provide more e-learning classes

12th science pass is the eligibility of the course. First we should apply in the site of MG university CAP. There are reservation seats for sc/st/obc castes. If your name is in the allotment list you can directly go to UC college for application form, application fees and application dates

- The campus is totally environment friendly. With lots of culturals and sport opportunity. Wide campus with greenary.
- The infrastructure are good. We have library, conference room , canteen , auditorium, sports court..

The eligibility for the admission is to pass 12th standard with all subjects above 50%. The application is applied through online website by ourselves or we can go to Akshaya centre and apply. We know about the application dates through newspaper. Application fee was about 1100

Admission process was easy but I only got admission in my third allotment and it was a little bit time consuming and cutoff of my course was above 90% for non reservation category. I got admission in general category
