Both the colleges are similar to each other for the IT branch and provide equal facilities to their students, but IET DAVV is a little better than SGSITS. Academics: The IT department at SGSITS was established in 2000, so it can be termed as new as compared to IET DAVV or other reputed colleges. But the IT department at IET DAVV was established in September 1996, so it is much better and older than SGSITS. Faculty: Both the colleges have great faculty who are talented and experienced in their subjects and some of them have even completed their PhDs from top IITs and IISC. Fees: IET DAVV is a self-financed college and the fees are similar for all the branches and it is 65000 per annum. The fees of the IT branch at SGSITS are a little higher than IET DAVV and it is 70000 per annum. Placements: The placements of both these colleges have been excellent and many top companies including Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, and many others have been visiting the campus and offering jobs to many students with good packages. In SGSITS, the IT students must have a higher than 7.5 pointer to sit for campus interview, while CSE branch students must have a 6.5 pointer or higher. Exposure: SGSITS has an advantage as it is much older than IET DAVV, so it has more reputation in the state. But IET DAVV is also a reputed institute and provides a wide range of exposure to its students. Extra-Curricular Activities: IET DAVV takes advantage of extracurricular activities like college fests, fresher's programs, and many others functions that are much better than at SGSITS. As both these colleges are similar to each other in every other aspect except a few, so you can choose anyone according to your preferences.

For one semester, our college charges for information technology branch is 63400. So in a year we have two semesters which adds upto 126800. While my friends from other branches pays little less than us as IT and BME are two private branches in our college so they charge high in these courses. Other branch students pay 49400 per semester which adds upto 98800 per year. And students who are eligible for the criteria in MMVY scholarship gets the money they have spent on tuition fees and hostel stay fees back. Also the government hostel of our college charges 4000 caution money and tuition fees caution money charges 5000 at the time of admission.

Our College SGSITS is a prestigious Institute for any Engineering aspirant out there ,and a total of 1,49,600 is the annual fees for my branch,i.e. Information Technology.For categories like SC,ST anf for the tution fee waiver rounds the fees is about 55,000.Our college follows a strict curriculum and a lot of assignments fo which we have to buy lots and lots of assignment papers, lab manuals notebooks,etc. costing almost less than 1000 in a month, especially in the beginning of the semester.

As compared to the government institution there is a high fee structure in this autonomous institution . Institution provide scholarships under the mp government's scholarship and also provide rent allowances

My College Glimpse

IT branch has more fees than Cs as in GSITS IT branch is not the goverenment aided branch so this branch have more fees. As far as scholarship is provided and all the process is sanctioned and held by the college itself. Stipend internships and placement both are done by this college and some students have great placement off campus too.

Average fees of all branches of college is Rs. 98,000 per year, where IT branch is an exception. the annual fees for Information Technology Branch is Rs. 1,20,000 b.ecause it is a private branch of the college.

I don't like the syllabus. It's been a long period of time since the syllabus was upgraded, since then it's the same, they teach very outdated tech.

Fees of my course is the highest of all the courses as it is not funded by government and it is run the institute itself. Our annual fees is 1,20,000. Although I receive MP government scholarship (MMVY). The scholarship section is very helpful. They notify us on time and with all the details to assist us to fill scholarship form. There are several scholarships, such as Post matric scholarship, MMVY, sambal scholarship. Some of which cover 100% fees.
