- Simply the campus is short and sweet . Not too large campus , students do not have to travel more for roaming around the campus . Whole campus is in mid city area is the best thing , every outdoor services are easily available .
- Well organised events by our college , fun activities and various workshops and seminars for specific domains .
Dislikes
- Students are divided into two categories : Hostlers and Day scholars . Girls are least interested in Games and sports activities .
- Intime of girl's hostel is 9:00 PM and attendance every night , college timings are too late and there is no swimming pool in the campus. 75% attendance criteria and lot of assignments .
Fees and Financial Aid:
As per my old branch i.e. Computer Science Engineering Tution Fees per semester : 33,500/- Caution money : 5000/- Total fees during admission (for all branches except IT and BME) : 51,900/- SGSITS alumini association fees : 1000/- 2nd sem - 45,650/- After my branch change to Information Technology: 3rd - 8th sem : 59650/- Yearly - 119300/- [including both semesters] Fees structure as per my admission year 2022: For all branches except BME and IT : 45,650/- per semester Yearly : 91,300/- Post Metric Scholarship available for ST , SC , OBC students ,amount is as per your fees structure . MMVY for students who have scored rank under 1.5 lakh.

- Teching technique is good and also environment is good Fully functional labs
- Students are competitive and can participate in various other co curricular activities
Dislikes
- Size of campus not so big enough that much like NIT’s and IIT’s
- Earlier the security is not so fair enough to stop conflicts among students

As compared to the government institution there is a high fee structure in this autonomous institution . Institution provide scholarships under the mp government's scholarship and also provide rent allowances

- We have great aluminis of our college at very good positions.
- This college have a great reputation in our state because it is 70+ year old college.
Dislikes
- College campus is not so good as its a very old college, campus is small.
- No such extracurricular activities held as only one event held which is also not proper.
Fees and Financial Aid:
IT branch has more fees than Cs as in GSITS IT branch is not the goverenment aided branch so this branch have more fees. As far as scholarship is provided and all the process is sanctioned and held by the college itself. Stipend internships and placement both are done by this college and some students have great placement off campus too.

- Faculty with strong industry experience as it's a technical institute

- A small campus area and potentially outdated infrastructure in some areas, including hostels and washrooms

- Not all teachers are good, but some are very nice and knowledge full in their fields. They give nice suggestions if you ask for.
- Greenry inside the college campus is so nice.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is not so great and breaking all the way now, it needs continuous renovation which is troublesome. Also, computers in lab doesn't work well in CS and IT department.
- There is some sort of biasness, in the college. The thinking of the staff is so orthodox that even when girls are no allowed to roam in college they were said to go back.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Average fees of all branches of college is Rs. 98,000 per year, where IT branch is an exception. the annual fees for Information Technology Branch is Rs. 1,20,000 b.ecause it is a private branch of the college.

- I like the attendance flexibility we get. Although 75% attendance is compulsory but faculties are not that strict, they grant us attendance by doing some assignments.
- Faculty here are not very good but decent enough to help us understand the topic.
Dislikes
- The quality of students here is not very good, due to reservation many students struggle to pass exams.
- Cultural fest and events are not very good. They have never invited a celebrity or a public figure for any performance or event.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fees of my course is the highest of all the courses as it is not funded by government and it is run the institute itself. Our annual fees is 1,20,000. Although I receive MP government scholarship (MMVY). The scholarship section is very helpful. They notify us on time and with all the details to assist us to fill scholarship form. There are several scholarships, such as Post matric scholarship, MMVY, sambal scholarship. Some of which cover 100% fees.

- Teachers were good and supportive, the tests were of a good level.
- The quality of students were really good,
Dislikes
- Campus area was way too small. and we could not get much of the college campus
- some students were really bad in behaviour, there was partiality between day scholars and hostelers.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fees is low as compared to IIT's and NIT's I got no scholarship due to the annual income of parents criteria, there are state government scholarships like mmvy and caste based too, my placements are yet to come.

- Connectivity: SGSITS is located at City centre and railway station and bus stand are in 1km radius
- Campus: campus is small, old fashioned, not all facilities available, some buildings are on verge of falling down but above all the Campus is lively, clean and green
Dislikes
- Small campus - campus is quite small. One can just have a walk around the college in a matter of 10 minutes.
- Hosteller and Day Scholar rivalry: students of the college are involved in this rivalry (not all students) which somehow also effect friendship, clubs recruitment and many more things
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fee structure is same for almost all branches except IT (information technology) and BME (bio medical engineering) because these are the self financed branch and hence fees for these two courses is slightly more than the other. In my case, IT fees was 60k per semester and other branches fee was 47k per semester. Different scholarship are provided to students like Post-metric and medhavi . Post-metric is given to OBC, SC and st students and medhavi is given for all students with some mains score criteria. However, an individual can only opt for not more than one scholarship. If a person isn't eligible for scholarship then he/she can go for educational loan. As of my experience, no campus jobs are given to students.

- Small area of college with less distance between buildings
- Less culture of classical dance and music

Since i am in 1st year...i don't have ideas about placements,but yes it majorly depends on your skills and your thinking ability.There are plenty if scholarships you can opt for.As this is a government institution fees is not that high

- I likes the fest and events that take place here regulary and the comitee is so much supporting and encouraging.
- Class Time Table is designed is such a way that students don't feel too much pressure and get quality education.

- College student Email Id is not being provided by the college which can be used for many websites.
- There is wifi in the campus but only limited connection 34mb JIONET
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fees for Information Technology and Bio-Medical are quite high but education is worth here. Fees if possible should be made low so it will benefit all the students. Scholarship provided by the MP govt is provided and pre-notice is also provided. Right now I am still in course so I am not placed yet

SGSITS: 2 Answered Questions
Which college is better for IT, IET DAVV Indore or SGSITS Indore?
Both the colleges are similar to each other for the IT branch and provide equal facilities to their students, but IET DAVV is a little better than SGSITS.
- Academics: The IT department at SGSITS was established in 2000, so it can be termed as new as compared to IET DAVV or other reputed colleges. But the IT department at IET DAVV was established in September 1996, so it is much better and older than SGSITS.
- Faculty: Both the colleges have great faculty who are talented and experienced in their subjects and some of them have even completed their PhDs from top IITs and IISC.
- Fees: IET DAVV is a self-financed college and the fees are similar for all the branches and it is 65000 per annum. The fees of the IT branch at SGSITS are a little higher than IET DAVV and it is 70000 per annum.
- Placements: The placements of both these colleges have been excellent and many top companies including Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, and many others have been visiting the campus and offering jobs to many students with good packages. In SGSITS, the IT students must have a higher than 7.5 pointer to sit for campus interview, while CSE branch students must have a 6.5 pointer or higher.
- Exposure: SGSITS has an advantage as it is much older than IET DAVV, so it has more reputation in the state. But IET DAVV is also a reputed institute and provides a wide range of exposure to its students.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: IET DAVV takes advantage of extracurricular activities like college fests, fresher's programs, and many others functions that are much better than at SGSITS.
As both these colleges are similar to each other in every other aspect except a few, so you can choose anyone according to your preferences.
Which option is better, IT in IET DAVV or EI in SGSITS?
The answer to this question lies in the option between the choice of branch and college, and which one you will give preference to.
- You should first know where your interest lies and which branch is your preference.
- Choosing a branch is more important than choosing a college.
- This is a very important aspect as you will be learning that subject for the next four years and your career will depend on it.
- Once you are clear about the interest, you do not have to compare colleges.
