Likes
- I like the attendance flexibility we get. Although 75% attendance is compulsory but faculties are not that strict, they grant us attendance by doing some assignments.
- Faculty here are not very good but decent enough to help us understand the topic.
- I like the campus. Though it's very small but it's a lush green campus. We have a small cafe inside the campus and it's very near to the station.
Dislikes
- The quality of students here is not very good, due to reservation many students struggle to pass exams.
- Cultural fest and events are not very good. They have never invited a celebrity or a public figure for any performance or event.
- I don't like the syllabus. It's been a long period of time since the syllabus was upgraded, since then it's the same, they teach very outdated tech.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would say the course is bit outdated. They should inculcate new topics that are relevant with present technology. Despite this, the curriculum prepares us well for job interviews and real world applications Exams are conducted frequently. Mid semester tests, internal viva, quizes, workshops etc.
Placement Experience
Our college provides campus placement opportunities for every branch. It invites many MNC's to offer placements and internships to its students. Last year's highest package was 32LPA from Electronic and telecommunication branch. Average CS/IT placements are around 8LPA. And 6LPA for other branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of my course is the highest of all the courses as it is not funded by government and it is run the institute itself. Our annual fees is 1,20,000. Although I receive MP government scholarship (MMVY). The scholarship section is very helpful. They notify us on time and with all the details to assist us to fill scholarship form. There are several scholarships, such as Post matric scholarship, MMVY, sambal scholarship. Some of which cover 100% fees.
Campus Life
Our college campus is very lush green spread across 32 acres in the city centre with proximity to railway station and bus stand. Aayaam is our technical and cultural annual event organised in February or March. College has several Clubs and Cells held by students which conducts events all around the year. College also conducts annual sports meet. College Library is equipped with facilities such as Ac's, Desktops.
Hostel Facilities
We get two bed hostel rooms with a fan, two windows a bed, and one table for each. We have water coolers, cleanliness is maintained and toilets are cleaned regularly. No water or electricity shortage. Hostels are very affordable. Quality of meals in mess is not good. Rented accommodation are also quite affordable and are not so far with the college.
Admission
Admission in our college is solely through JEE MAINS score. Cutoff varies every year. It ranges from 80 percentile to 95 percentile for general category for the lowest branches to the Highest. Admission process is very smooth, through the MP government website. Although the admission process is very smooth but there are a number of extra charges during the process.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is decent enough. Most the faculties have Master's degree,there are very few with a PhD. Faculty members are very friendly and polite. we can approach in them whenever we have doubts
