The college is good in terms of placement and development of students

The curriculum followed by the college is slightly old in comparision to iits and nits but it is better than most of the remaining colleges. But the curriculum could be improved.The curriculum is based on more theoretical approach and less practical approach for some branches.The teaching methodology is good . Teachers use smart boards if they need. The frequency of the exams and msts are good but they also include demo which makes it hectic.

The year wise fees is nearly 98000 rupees yearly and all the rest fees are included in it . After submission you don't have to pay any other fees not even exam fees. Total BTech 4 year fees can be considered approx 400000 rupees. Some scholarships are also available from college side for needy students.

There is an annual fest named Aayam which is held in the month of February. It is the technical and cultural fest of the college. The annual sports fest of the college is called Varchasva where the teams of all the branches compete in various sports for their dominance. It is very good.so many books are available in library. Classes are equipped with projectors and some classes also have smart boards. And the lecture halls have good infra and wifi facilities.there are more than. 10 clubs in the college from. Music dance nss ncc etc . And these clubs are good for enhancing various skills of the students.

I have applied to many nits and I got seat in NIT bhopal in electronics and communication branch. But I chose Sgsits cse over nit bhopal ece because I wanted to pursue my career in cse and I have no interest in ece. The admission process of the college is easy . First filling of application through date and then if we get seat we have to report college for the final admission process which is just of 1-2 hours and after fee submission your admission is confirmed. For BTech the scores accepted are of Jee mains. The cutoff can be considered above 90 percentile.

The faculty to student ratio is normal . The senior professors who are serving from very long time are very knowledgeable and good. The best faculties are mainly from the core branches like civil mech etc as they are older branches. In each semester there are 2-3 mid sems and 1 end sem and the difficulty level can be considered medium. The course curriculum can be improved.Some students also get fail in semesters

The college also has a gym which is available for all college students . College has a cafe name cafe 91 aand the college is opened from 8am-10 pm and the hostel timings are 9-10 pm in evenings. The college has a very good atmosphere since it has so many gardens where students can hang out and chill.
