NIET PGDM FAQs
Ques. Is the PGDM from NIET Business School equivalent to an MBA degree?
Ans. Yes, the PGDM from NIET Business School is recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA degree. This means the PGDM diploma is accepted for employment purposes, government jobs, and higher education (including PhD admissions) on par with an MBA degree from a university-affiliated institution. The program is also NBA Accredited and AACSB affiliated, further validating its quality and recognition.
Ques. What is the difference between the PGDM at NIET Business School and the MBA at NIET Autonomous Institute?
Ans. The PGDM is offered by NIET Business School (a separate AICTE-approved institution) while the MBA is offered by NIET Autonomous Institute (affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow). The PGDM has a total fee of Rs. 7,38,000 for 2 years, while the MBA costs Rs. 3,27,600 for 2 years. The MBA is a university degree while the PGDM is a diploma (though AIU-recognised as equivalent to MBA).
Ques. Is CAT score mandatory for PGDM admission at NIET Business School?
Ans. CAT score is not mandatory for PGDM admission at NIET Business School.
