Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Chandigarh Hostel For Male

The SGGS College Boys Hostel is located within the college campus adjoining Science block in front of the college Gurudwara . Late Jathedar S. Gurcharan Singh Tohra, the then President SGPC laid the foundation Stone of this hostel on 16^th November,1990. It becomes fully functional in 1992. S. Ajit Singh Sardhadi, Capt. Manjit Singh and PSEB Finance and investment ltd. were its founder donors.

Hostel’s building has three storied structure and complies to standards laid down by Panjab university. It is comprised of a reading-cum-recreation room, spacious dining hall, modern kitchen ,visitor-cum-warden room, besides 75 rooms for the boarders. Two seater and three seater rooms are allotted to students purely on the basis of merit.

The hostel functions under the overall supervision of Principal S. S. Dhillon. It is ably looked after by a Warden, Dr Gurcharan Singh Gill, Resident Deputy Warden, and attendants.

In Ac room there are 3 beds and study tables and 5almirah for 3students Breakfast is not inuded but lunch and dinner is included There is gym and game room and study room also Registeration is done online in 500rupees

Hostel Facilities:

No, I've not opted for the hostel but I've been to it and even have had lunch which is chargeable at a cheap 50rs amount for a meal without any quantity restrictions. Also there's a different menu for every day of the week.

i didnot opted for hostel. but what i know is that the hostel is good its not very far from the college. the college canteen is also good and they offer tasty food 3 times. the food very tasty not like other colleges.

Hostel Facilities:

I have opted for the Hostel. Hostel facility is also good, there is no ragging system here, quality of food is reasonable but the meal routine is same which makes it boring after sometime. One can opt for 2 bedded, 3 bedded, 4 bedded room at same price. The worst thing of the hostel is that the morning breakfast is not included in the hostel fee, one have to pay extra for that.

Campus Life:

There are several or uncountable fests in my college. There is no week left without a fest. Almost every book of our course and other course is available in the library. Every facility that needs to be available is available in the classrooms. There are several sports and extracurricular activities available in our institution. Yes there are student-run social groups and portals for student help in the study materials.
