Campus Life

The campus life is quite boring as they are very strict about everything like no one can go outside the college even to the cafeteria or canteen during college hours. They hold a very few fests. Another thing is that they don't have any clubs which other colleges have. Not all the books are available in the college. They do have student portal where we can check out our attendance and also manage our books issued from library.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for the course I've opted (bsc. Medical) is 42000 rs. I have been provided the scholarship on the basis of my 12th merit which is 5000 rs on alternate semesters. The amount of the scholarship depends on the percentage obtained by the student in the 12th grade.

The faculty- to- student ratio is good enough. In our college students genuinely can share anything with the faculty because there are many teachers who are very open minded and well behaved. The faculty of zoology department i like the most because they are best teachers i have seen in our college. Mrs. jyoti joshi and mrs. Indu verma they both are my favorite teachers and are like friends. They teach us in a interesting manner. For bsc department they conduct 7 exams which includes chemistry ( inorganic, organic, physical) botany (paper A and paper B) and same for the zoology

Annual and technical festivals were many but among them I know few like Ghandi Jayanti , Jawaharlal Nehru birthday and much more these festivals were held for 1 months with good number of presentation.... And recently college participate in G20 and drug addiction etc which were very helpful for students. The range and accessibility of books and journals are widely available in library Facilities are good for Summers but not for winters they must install bukharies etc so the students would get warmth in winter classes Yes in our college there is gym...n gym is good for health... And also some NC team ..that is all about games and physical health

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is great and relationship between students and teachers is friendly and all the teachers were approachable. I only know zoology faculty because I was the student of this college But I also heard about botany and chemistry...I heard they were also perfect I don't like commerce batch because they always creat indiscipline. Exams are easy because before final exam there are lot of class tests so students are well prepared for finals....and I think almost all the students were able to pass the exam

They just made us study and told us to only focus on it since we are doing science. Our teachers used to scold us if we didn't come for just a single day. They only did sports day annually in February or march but they made the attendance compulsory even if there's no role of your's in the event. Other than that there were no events. Some classrooms didn't even have proper ventilation or fans even which made it difficult to survive in the summers. You can get books for free from the departmental library by depositing some security amount to them. Getting book from the college's main Library was difficult since there were many steps and also we need to return the books 15 days before the exam

Faculty

Science faculty was pretty good to be honest. They all taught us well and solved our problems when we asked. Also they made the subjects interesting but there was zoology dept. She made us feel like we were in a school and should agree to each and everything she says. There were house tests and then final semester exams. They were moderate to tough depending upon your preparation.

Ok as a introvert I am never interested in comptetion but my teachers make them compulsory for all students so I am going in 3rd year this year but I learned alot during those 2 years like public speaking ,a personality, and quiz competition enhance our knowledge.. which I found too good...and different kinds of seminars and there is a little question answering round and as a artist you can find many Opportunities here, too talented music teacher so I personally like the system of co curriculum activities ,as a student of science I am not interested in cooking but once my Univ organise cooking competition and allow every course student to participate so there I also inhance my cooking skills .

Course Curriculum Overview

The BSE medical course is somehow very much well planned and the more focused to what we've learned in our 11th and 12th standard, one can definitely say it's just an advanced version of what we have already started. Secondly, the improvement that the teachers could have done during the teaching methods. Were that they could have used more of the practical uh side of teaching instead of just focusing on theoretical or problem solving ways because the chemistry is well differentiated into practical as well as theoretical knowledge so more practical along with. Practical classes should be conducted. Similarly, botany zoology had a very vast syllabus, which could be overwhelming for few students. And similarly, the faculty didn't use much of the practical stuff to make the concepts clear, but still the facility that was provided for botany and zoology was experienced. And did their job the best way It is true that the curriculum designed does not prepares one for real world application

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for BSc medical is very much similar in every affiliated college and along with fees, there are some extra charges for hostel, mays etc. If you are not a UT resident other than that if you belong to a reservation category such as SC ST OBC etc.concessions are provided, concessions are also. Provided on the basis of. The reservations that are made for students belonging to sports category belonging to defence or single girl child category. There are also some scholarships and some funds given to students scholarship schemes launched by Govt.of India available at site https://scholarships.gov.in under National Scholarship Portal. Some of these scholarships that I came across while studying in this college were scholarships provided by the Central government. Then the scholarships that I mainly heard of while studywere provided to single girl child.Or the scholarship provided to the Northeastern people. There were many scholarships that were Ugc provided. And also state provided

Teachers support Students all the time by giving tips and knowledge to win the competition. Secondly, there are two libraries in the campus, which are well ventilated and well furnished. Also, different kind of books, novels, journals are available there which are up-to-dated. Students can find anything they want about education from the library. Also, students are actively engaged in social groups and clubs in which they raise their voice against any injustice, if anything happened.

Faculty

In RSD, the teachers are well educated and are working after qualifying NET exam. And the class size is also small which help teachers to attend all students and also students can clarify their doubts without any hesitation. Teachers are not only friendly but also acquire great knowledge. They focus on both theoretical as well as practical learning. The teaching method is quite innovative as they use various specimen, charts to make it easy for the students to understand topics. Talking about me, whenever i had any doubt, instantly get solutions from teachers in no time.
